Chapter 6

I get home to find dad asleep in the couch
I went to my room, did a little homework, ready my book. Then I slowly started to fall asleep.

No ones POV

Riley looks around Bella's room, touching her dream catching, her red blouse. Then smells other human, he walks out her room, goes straight to kya's room. Find her sleeping her scent makes him thirsty like Bella's. He grabs her book, he watches her sleep so peacefully. He makes his way downstairs, looks at Charlie missing file of him. He then leaves, hearing bella come in.

Kya POV

I was dead asleep when out of nowhere my bedroom door is swung open I jump out of bed with my water ready to fight, I bend to ice daggers "what! Whats wrong? I said so startled "Edward what's wrong?" Bella said, Edward looks around my room, "someone's been in here" he said, i return my water back to my pouch.

We're not safe, we sat down with the rest of the Cullens.

"Who was it? Someone we know?" Carlisle said

"Just a stranger. I didn't recognize his scent." Edward tells him.

"A nomad passing though?" Esme assume

"A passer-by wouldn't have left their father alive." Rose said, Emmett and jasper walk in "his scent disappeared about five miles south of Bella's house" jasper said.

"Someone's orchestrating this" Carlisle says

"Victoria?" We said, "it's has to be her." I said

"I would've seen her deciding?" Alice spoke up.

"It has to be the volturi" Edward said, "I don't think it's the volturi either. I've been watching Aro's decisions, too." Alice tells her brother.

"So we keep looking" Emmett said. "We also take shifts, guarding the girls house." Carlisle said.

"Another protect detail" rose said, she's right. "Rosalie" Carlisle said.

"No, she's right. You can't protect me, kya and our dad and search for the intruder" bella said "and for Victoria" me and rose said. "And keep  yourself fed" Bella said.

"I'm not leaving you here defenseless." Edward tell her. "Well, I'm not gonna let you starve. And I wouldn't be unprotected, I have.." she stops, "what?" He says "Jacob."

That night I felt unsafe, I kept looking out the window, but nothing. My phone kept going off, Josh.  I been ignoring him, I don't have time for his drama.

The next day Jacob come to look around the house, I can tell Edward was not happy about it. "Whoever it was, he left his stink behind. It'll be hard to miss when we cross it again. We'll handle it from here." Jake tells Edward.

"We don't need you to handle anything or anyone." Edward said, " I could care less what you need." Jake tells him, I rolled my eyes at them. "Alright, we're done here" Edward said. "No, you're done here"
"Stop. I'm tired of this. From now on I'm Switzerland, okay" bella shut them up.

I saw josh pulled up, "what the hell?" I Mumble. I walked away from them "why haven't you return my calls or texts!?" He shouts at me, "keep your damn voice down!" I said, he grabs my arm so hard "you don't tell me to shut up!" He yells. I see Bella come up "let go of my sister! Don't ever touch her!" Bella yells at him. "You little snitch!" He said letting me go "get out of here Josh" I said to him "or what? Huh?"
"Or I'll break that stupid smile off your face." Jake said stepping forward, "Jake please" I pushed him back, "you heard her" he smiled. "I'm done, we're done. Leave now!" I said

    He stood there for moment "she said leave" bella tells him, josh stepped toward us but Edward stepped in "you heard her, leave." Josh looks at each of them, then me. "I'll regret this" he said. We watch him leave, "you okay" bella asked me, I hold back my tears "yea, we should get going" I said.

     After school, I hanged out with rose, I was pretty quiet. Barley ate the snack esme made me, "Kya? Are you okay? You look sad" she said "I'm not, I didn't tell you this because I was ashamed. I know you were happy I found someone but he wasn't what I thought he was. He hit him." I cried. Rose just looked at me, then pulled me for a hug.

    "Oh kya, why didn't you say something? Does bella know?" I nodded "her and Edward know they saw my bruises. I made them not to tell anyone. I'm was just afraid." I said whipped away my tears. "I know how you feel, except my story is different." She said.

"I was engaged to a name Royce, one time I was walking home from a friends house late, I saw my fiancée drunk with his friends. He called me over, him and his friend..." she stopped "they?" She nodded "oh my god, Rosalie. I'm so sorry that happened to you."

"Carlisle found me, he smelled the blood. I got my revenge on them, one at a time saved Royce for last. But things got better when I found Emmett." I was remembering what she said to tell bella, the night of the vote. "You were right about that night, where Bella wanted our vote. The reason I voted no is because I never really wanted this life, I wanted to be married, have children of my own. Have grandchildren, that's all I ever wanted." Her voice cracked, i held her hand "I'm sorry."

    Over the days the Cullens have been, keeping watch over us, even the pack as well. Bella tried to at least work together. "You ever think they'll work together?" I asked her "i hope" she said as we look at the window. "How are you feeling after the whole Josh scene?" She asked me "I was a little shaken up, but I think I'll be fine."

      We went to meet up jake, we're going to a tribe story, Emily told me. "Doesn't he know a shirt?" Edward said, I laughed, I went up to Jake "are you trying to piss him off?" I cross my arms, he smirk "maybe" I chuckle. We watch them kiss 'its sweet you care about her safety, but please don't start a fight here' I thought,  Edward gave me a nod. Jake said we're going to a party tonight's

   We walked to the bonfire, "you sure this is okay? I really hate being a party crasher." Bella felt awkward about it. "Technically you're a council meeting crasher. See. The council leaders. Dad, Quil's grandpa, and Sue Clearwater. She took over for Harry when he died." Jake said, "okay. I should not be here"

"You're okay. I thought, I mean, they thought it would be good for you to hear the histories."

"The histories? The tribe's histories? Aren't they secret?" Bella said

"we all got a role to play. And you're a part of it, so is kya. I mean, it's the first time Seth and Leah and Quil are hearing them too. But you are the first outsider. Ever" He said. "I guess my story of my power is over. Thanks to Luna." I said.

"Jake" Seth coming running up, "hey"

  "It's about time, you got here. Paul's been hoovering the grub. But, I saved you some burgers." He said. "Good looking out, bro. Bella this is Seth Clearwater. Leahs brother"

"Hey, hey kya"

"Hey Seth" we went to find out seats, I sat next to paul, Bella with jake. Billy was starting.

"The Quileutes have been a small tribe from the beginning but we've always had magic in our blood. We were great spirit warriors shape shifters, that transform into the powerful wolf. This enable us to scare off our enemies, and protect our tribe. One day our warriors came across a creature. It looked like a man, but it was hard like stone, and cold as ice. Our warriors' sharp teeth, finally tore it apart but only fire would completely destroy it. They lived in fear, the cold man was not alone and they were right. She took her vengeance out on the village. Our elder chief, Taha Aki, was the only spirit warrior left to save the tribe, after his son was killed. Taha Aki's third wife could sees that he would lose. The third wife was no magical being, no special powers, but one...courage. The third wife's sacrifice distracted the Cold Woman, long enough for Taha Aki to destroy her. She saved the tribe. Over time our enemies have disappeared. But one remains. The cold ones.

Bella bites her lip, because she knows he's referring to the Cullens.

"Our magic awakens when they near. And we senses it now we feel the threat in our blood. Something terrible is coming. And we must all be ready. All of us."
