I grind my teeth against my gums. Why is he here? Didn't I told him I'll ruin his life if he so much as come a meter away near me?

Oh, was it too absurd for him six feet tall, well built and sculptured to even believe my threat means nothing to him?

" hi, there Cassy! " Christiana's manicured hands pointed to me, her smile was eerie and captivating at the same time. Most guys had been aiming to have that kind of smile. She has good posture too. Her waistline is curvy with her watermelon shaped boobs and a ball-like butts. Her business suit suite her quite well. They seemed to match if only Xavier wear a suit. I believed he wanted his girl to be self-driven, independent, and passionate at work. And I agree, it might be a great turn on as well.

Thinking about the two of them must be normal to call them couples when they stood and snuggled too closely- Christiana snuggled too close for Xavier's promixity.

I didn't respond. I could only pursed my lips, bitting back from saying something mean. To Christiana. To Xavier. Or hell, to them both.

I don't care.

At this time I had reached my limit. I didn't wanted to go ape shit just for some stupid boy, a man, a coward who ditched me for a classy filthy rich girl.

" We have class." It was Mary who lessen the tensed muscles of Mark. I could tell Mark was boiling hot. Mary's arm enclosed to his bicep a certain sign to tell him- ' not now, not today'. Too afraid to release him, she gripped on him harder and said in her strained tone, " If you could just leave us from our meal, we would both be on our way."

Christiana lost her smile for a bit there and I could have sworn she was frowning at Xavier, putting him all the blame from the pressure between Mark and Xavier or Mark alone.

Whatever, I want them gone.

My eyes couldn't take another touch from Christiana, my heart couldn't take another affectionate thing she does to him, I couldn't endure it.

" Well, if it is Xavier that's making you uneasy, then It is normal. Everybody has been cringey about him. " Christiana covered her mouth secretly as if we been trading secrets all our lives and that we are the best friends that like to spill jokes at each other. She even got the gut to wink at us.

It must had been wrong for me to think that way but what does it felt like to be betrayed? Do we just
stand smile to our hearts content and be okay with it? Damn, no. That thought didn't sit well with me.

She sat at the empty chair while Xavier stood behind her, making herself comfortable despite how bothered we were by them. Xavier felt the need to get out for a fresh air since the tension was enough to suffocate us all with Christiana clueless of the matter.

" Well, I should be going." I stiffened when Stefan slowly tried to remove himself out of the picture. I immediately grabbed for his arm. It was strong and muscular, I could feel the stress in his skin. I looked up at him and pleaded with my eyes- I was this close to breaking, so close from freezing like a glass doll waiting to crash. I looked up at him and gave him the saddest grin I could give. He smiled down at me and soothingly kissed my forehead, he whispered on my forehead, " Should I be a knight in shining armor and save the day?".

He was quick to know everything that was happening. Scratch that- it was eventually noticeable that it was Xavier's glare that made Stefan realize I was uneasy from.

I chuckled at his attempt to make me smile, I bit my lip. " Please?"

Xavier didn't miss a beat. His face darkened, his jaw hardened from gritting his teeth inside his cheek. He was trying to control himself. I didn't know to whom or why he ever do but I was too focused on Stefan I had not bothered to look at everyone's reaction to the two of us.
