Life in disguise

Part 13

The car finally came to a stop, my mouth opened as I saw where we were, on the way earlier, I was thinking we were going to another restaurant or somewhere else.

I never imagined that we were going to a stable, we were already at the highway in the woods, I could sight the stable from where we were because we were making a u-turn.

I saw different kinds of horses, how lovely;there are three kinds of colours, the black, brown and white horses.

I am afraid of riding horses but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate the wonderful creature of God.

Our car finally came to a stop at the front of an old stable, the equestrians were at work, some of them were putting on caps like sherrifs, a little white horse that was being treated caught my eyes from where I was standing with jason.

I left jason to meet the horse, jason was busy speaking with an old man whom I assume runs this place.

As I got closer to the horse, I saw blood stains, It must be in so much pains, I could imagine, the lady taking care of it, she looked a little bit older than I was, she had blonde hair and pretty eyes, she has blue eyes like mine.

I must say her eyes match her stature. I drew closer and watched as she cleaned the wound, with the hours neighing in pain, as I was close enough I could hear her trying her best to show the horse that she really felt for it.

She didn't look like a bad owner tho, because she kept on saying sorry to every movement the horse makes.

I tapped her back because I was already directly at her back, she didn't notice me, even as my body blocked the sun rays hitting her, her whole concentration was on the horse.

"hey", I spoke up to get her attention, then she turned, she stood up and turned to me, "hi, am Kylie", she says removing her gloves and stretching her hands to a handshake..

"Am kiara, nice to meet you Kylie", I responded, gladly accepting the handshake with a smile on my face

We spoke as I squatted so I could be close enough to her, I really didn't want to distract her from what she was doing, so I just told her to continue while I watched her as we were talking.

From what I heard from her, she is 17,she older than me, "so why did you cone over here? ", she asks, "ohh, I came with some one", I said pointing at jason.

"Ooouu, is it a surprise date? ", I laugh, "well it is, he told me he was gonna take me out, I really didn't know I was coming to a stable though, all the same am glad I came, because obviously I made a new friend", I smile.

"Awwn", she says, she told me sleep lived far from here, she has always loved horses that's why she took the job.

"Heyy, kiara, let's get on the horse,I was looking everywhere for you, I have settled things with the owner, we would ride the horse, but with the guide of an equestrian ", jason says.

"Oh, that's not a problem at all, as u see here, I already have an equestrian friend", I say pointing at Kylie, my new found friend.

"Oh that would be lovely", he says and turns to kylie, "are you free to take us around?", he asks, "sure, but just give me few minutes let me finish up with her"she says referring to the horse.

She was finally done, then she sat on a black horse, there were three horses set for us, "I don't know hoe to ride on a horse ", I told them.

"Its no problem, I'll ride with you on one horse", jason said with a chuckle.

I sat on the next horse first and set my legs well, then came Jason, sitting at the back of me, thank God I packed my hair in a nun before coming out, if not jason would be very uncomfortable with my hair on his face because of the movement of the breeze.

What am I even saying?,if my hair covers his eyes, I don't know how to direct the horse, then we are so going to crash.

The moment was silent while we rode along the woods, we could only hear the birds and any other insect sounds.

Jason's hands were over my waist, holding the rope that was used in guiding the horse, while I place my hand on his, this is jut romantic.

He kept on teaching me, I even attempted holding the rope to my self but not for long, to avoid any form of accidents to us.

Kylie was following suit at our back with her own horse, she kept on complementing any move I do. I was learning pretty fast.

"Here, hold him", jason says close to my neck, I could feel his warm breath upon my skin, it made goosebumps appear on my skin, I could feel it tingle.

The was so close now to me and I could feel my heart pounding like it was going to go off my chest, I felt my stomach tumble, this is the feeling when they say butterflies in the stomach.

He gave the rope to me, "this time make sure you make the gallop perfectly", he says with his breath still reaching my neck.

He then clutches my waist. Of only he knew how I felt, I tried the gallop with confidence this time I really want to impress him

Fortunately for me I got it perfectly. Kylie applauded for me with a big smile on her face, she had been watching all along, jason hugs me from behind, it felt really good.

We got back to the stable, kylie and I exchanged contacts and jason and I left.

We drove off and I noticed my surprise hasn't been finished yet...

We were at the beach, the car stopped and we walked down, "jason? This isn't my house", I said, even though I knew, "yes I know, I haven't treated you to a meal yet, that's why I packed up some food for a little picnic".

Awwn, his so thoughtful and exrta romantic.

We had the picnic and we spoke about school and all.

We packed up, got to the car and headed for home, I really didn't want this day to end. My day with jason has been a great one.

We finally reached my house and jason turns to leave, I always watch him till his out of sight before I go inside, then he turns to me again, "is there any problem? ", I asked him with concern.

"No its just that I.... ", he says and pauses, "well you? ", I ask trying to make him complete his sentence, "Umm.... Never mind", he says as he enters his car and drives off.

I wonder what the problem was, anyways I entered and freshen up, I wasn't hungry for dinner, and I was home alone, again, I just went to my room.

I took my phone out of my pocket to charge it, I had a long day today so am really tired, I'll just have to g to bed early and besides I have school tomorrow.
