Chapter 5

Lakshmi prepared dinner helped by Rano.

Mira was just looking for an opportunity to kick Lakshmi out of the house.If she and Ranveer could not be married for a year Ranveer would not receive the money.

While everyone wasn't looking she put chilli into the food .
"Let's see wether you will love through this Lakshmi ."
She laughed .

Lakshmi and Rano served the plates .
Everyone was really exited about eating Lakshmi's food.
When everyone took a bite they spit out the food .It was very spicy.

"Oh my .Are you trying to kill us with spices hmmm daughter in law . Didn't your mother teach you how to cook ."
Mira shouted .

Lakshmi just stood there beyond words.She was sure they didn't even put any spice .

"But we didn't put any spice in this "

Mira laughed .
"So a ghost must have done it right .You ruined dinner "

"Enough Mira!"
Ranveer's father spoke .

"We all make mistakes I'm sure It was a mistake ."

Lakshmi was about to cry .She just left the room and went to the dining.

She went and fell on the bed crying.

She woke up to some noise.
It was Ranveer he was back .

"Ranveer ?"
He didn't answer .

She went to him .
He smelled alcohol.
His eyes were not normal .He was drunk really drunk.

"It's all your fault woman ."
He spoke .

"Ranveer you're drunk you need to rest"
She took his hands .He removed her hands from his.

"Don't touch me !!It's all your fault ."

With that he fell landing on her shoulder.

"Ranveer ?"
He was unconscious.

She moved him to the bed .
She removed his shoes and tie .
She covered him up.

She sat looking at him.
He's going to get a hangover tomorrow.
Why would he drink like that .

Lakshmi woke up really early to make honey tea for Ranveer .It would help with the hangover .
Her mum used to make this for her father when he got drunk.

Ranveer woke up with a throbbing headache.

"Aaaah"
Wait how did he get here .
He looked at himself.
He was still in his clothes from yesterday.

The door opened and Lakshmi entered holding a tray.

"Oh you're up ."

He sat up straight.

She brought the tray to his bed.She took the cup and poured the liquid .

"Drink this ."

Ranveer looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Are you trying to poison me.Aash women can do anything for money"

"I'm not poisoning you .It's honey and it's good for your hangover"

He took the cup looked at it then drank the liquid.

Lakshmi was thinking about yesterday's dinner .It was really embarrassing.

"What are you thinking about"

"Uum nothing ."

"Ok .I'm gonna shower first "

At breakfast when everyone was busy with their food Ranveer's mom spoke.

"Ranveer , Lakshmi l have a surprise for you .Tada"

She held out two tickets .

"What's that "

"Plane tickets .You two are going on your honeymoon"

Ranveer choked.

"H-honey m-moon"

"Yes"
