A bluenette walked into the guild holding her bag straps Juvia Dreyar trailing behind her daughter "daddy!" she ran towards the tall man known as her father dragging a monkey which she found while on the way home "look I made a new friend" she held up the creature "no" Laxus denied bluntly "eh?! why?!" the little girl flailed her arms "you've got a whole collection of toys back home" he replied shooting the girl down "this is a real creature he's can also fly" the bluenette reasoned "show him Mamoru" she gestured for the confused monkey to fly "I don't care what he can do Mana but you're not keeping the stupid monkey!" Laxus points at the flying monkey irritated "he's not stupid Mamoru's smarter than most of the exceeds in the guild though you saw what he can do" Mana reasoned "I already told you no and the exceeds belong to the other members not me!" she huffed "so? why can't we have one all the others members have one especially Mr Natsu who boists about Happy?!" Juvia sweatdropped at father and daughter since both were equally as stubborn "well Natsu just likes to do that don't even think about bringing up Hikari's bond with Akio! they're partners Mana" Laxus watched her puff out her cheeks knowing she was going to get what she wants either way "well I also want one of my own that's not Happy, Akio, Carla or Lily and I'm keeping Mamoru he needs a home" pulling the monkey towards her "no means no end of discussion Mana Tsunade Dreyar" Laxus gave her sharp look "now go put Mamoru back to where you found him" she crossed her arms pouting stomping towards the doors "give your bag to your mother" reluctantly she handed it to the bluenette "I'll be coming with you" whining she followed "then I won't come to train with daddy" she stopped behind him "then I'll just hand Mamoru over to Lyon I'm sure he'd appreciate a pet" Laxus took the monkey out of her small pale arms "meanie daddy's a meanie!" she pointed up at her father pouting Laxus narrowing his eyes at his daughter the guild watching intently "let's go before it rains" grabbing Laxus' hand Mana pulled him along.
Laxus took his daughter to and from school making sure she didn't sneak Mamoru into the house stopping by the magical creature to feed or give him shelter upon the request of Mana.
"you know she really does like Mamoru" Juvia said to her husband one day at the guild while helping with something "she needs to learn to not pick up random creatures from the street" Laxus said dismissing the topping "really how stubborn were you on getting that cat we found injured by the sidewalk you never let Natsu close afraid that he'd hurt him and she was with us until you gave her up to that sweet old couple?" Juvia asks raising a brow "did you give up then on princess? then nor is Mana going to give up on Mamoru since she's as stubborn as you Laxus" Laxus crossed his arms over his chest "I'm still not succumbing to her cute ways" rolling her eyes Juvia sighed "you don't need to Natsu's picking her up on his way back from the mission with Team Natsu" Juvia says stopping Laxus from picking her up.
The guild doors opened with team Natsu drenched in rainwater "what happened to you 5?" Makarov Dreyar asks "your grandaughter is what happened" Lucy Fullbuster grumbled holding her daughter's hand "what did she do?" he sighed "well actually she wasn't at magic school we asked a bunch of people and one of her teacher's claimed she left before we got there Hikari and Jude also left" Natsu Dragneel replied fearing the wrath of Laxus Dreyar who sat silently staring at them "we looked for them but it was hard to find them in this rain which washed off all three of their scents" Erza added flinching once the lightning dragon slayer stood up "we're calling a search party and inform other guilds if needed but I want Mana back."
Elsewhere
The 3 kids ran through the heavy rain "hurry there onto us!" the blonde yells while the other ran ahead "come back with that monkey!" indeed a group of men ran after them now let us look at how these three kids got here "Hikari we're in the forest" Mana says noticing the sudden greenery "I'm sorry if you have a better plan then tell me" Hikari says stopping to take a breath "well my plan was way better than yours" Mana shot back "please stop this isn't the time you two" the blonde tried to stop them his hair drenched the distant shouts getting louder grabbing the hands of each other they continued in the heavy rain "look Hikari there's a cave ahead" Mana pointed Hikari leading them inside it "finally shelter" Hikari breathed a sigh of relief "come on let's go in deeper than they won't find us or Mamoru" Mana pulled the white-haired boy along "hey where's Jude?" Mamoru asks looking around for the blonde ice mage "oh no! we lost Jude!" Mana placed her hands to her cheeks in horror "hey be quiet someone's coming this way" Hikari placed a hand over her mouth pulling them towards a wall "dang we lost them" one of them said "hey let's go check that way" another pointed as they all ran in the direction the two rivals breathed a sigh of relief "that was close" Mana said turning to Hikari "glad I found you two" Jude Fullbuster said stopping in front of his two friends catching his breath "hey why are you two still holding hands?" Jude noticed them still holding the other hand.
