Nico and the Batfam (discontinued)

1. Gotham

Hey guys! So if you didn't read the description, this is my first ever fan fiction story. I can't wait for you random strangers out there to read this!

<<Nico POV>>

'Take me anywhere' I thought as I slipped into the shadows. 

As I came out of a shadow, I started feeling the slightest bit dizzy. I balanced myself on a wall. I could feel the shadows trying to pull me back into them. After the big fight with Gea, I had drained my powers. I was almost becoming a shadow. At camp I was laying down in the infirmary, I was thinking about what had happened. 

First, we had brought the Athena statue on Camp Half-Blood Hill.

Then, we fought the centaurs.

Then, Gea came to the camp and everybody was stuck in the ground all the way to the waist.

Then, Will had come up to Nico and whispered one word.

"Octavian"

In the end Octavian became a fire ball, Leo was never found and I had told Percy how I felt about him.

I was now starting to walk toward the street lights, when I heard something coming up behind me. Sounded like it was on two legs, the footsteps were spaced out about a quarter of a meter apart and from the sound of it this monster was as heavy as an average man. Then came the smell... 'Thank Hades' I thought. Since I had read books from my fathers palace I learnt that Demigods can sometimes track monsters through smell too. This person smelt normal so I kept walking. 

Then the steps stopped. So I stopped for about a millisecond, then kept on walking. 

The steps that I heard started walking faster, I realized that this person/monster was running toward me. I stopped right when the person/monster was about a half a meter away from me, and sidestepped to the right. I put my left leg in the man's path and he tripped. I took his arm and threw him over me. 

I was now positioned over the man and still had his arm in my hand. I let it go. The man was stunned. He had white paint all over his face with a dark edge around his eyes, he also had some lipstick on his lips. 

"Is it Halloween already?" I asked. I helped the man up. "Thanks for the fun, now I really have to go." Then I walked toward a shadow and Shadow Traveled away. 

<<Batman POV>>

I was on patrol with Nightwing and Robin tonight, out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow darken. I turned toward the shadow. Then I saw something unexpected, it looked like it was taking the form of a boy. I hesitated, wondering if I should go down there to check whether  he was ok. The boy steadied himself on a wall. Then he started to walk down the alley. 

I then saw the Joker coming up behind this boy. I felt an urge telling me to stop the Joker before he reached the boy, but something held me back. If I hadn't noticed that the boy stopped for about a millisecond I would have jumped down from my hiding spot on the roof and took the Joker down. 

But instead I waited.

I waited to see what was going to happed next. 

The Joker stopped, then he started running toward the boy. I could tell that this mysterious child had heard the Joker advance. So I waited. The boy kept walking until the Joker was about a half a meter away from him, then he sidestepped. He put out his left leg in the Joker's path. The Joker tripped, the boy caught his arm and pulled the Joker over himself.

'Wow, Joker must be at least double maybe triple his own weight.' I thought.  

The boy moved very fast, he took his leg back to his side and then looked down at the Joker, letting his hand go. He looked him over a couple of times.

"Is it Halloween already?" He said.

Then what does he do? He helps the Joker up! Instead of running away he helps the Joker up. 'Anyone in their right mind would run away screaming. Instead this kid takes the Joker down and then helps him up! Is he out of his mind?!' I think, 'why would he help the Joker up? I have to look into him when I get back to the Batcave.' 

"Thanks for the fun, now I really have to go." Said the boy.

I thought that now this kid would run away screaming, but then he did something even more suspicious, he let the Joker up and then walked away into an alley. 

'If I remember correctly, that alley is a dead-end' I think.

 I looked toward the Joker quickly, then decided to follow the boy. I went around the corner, while still being on the roof, then noticed two things: 

First, I was right. This was a dead-end.

Then I noticed that the boy who had walked in here only a few seconds before me was not there any more.

'Hmmm...strange' I thought. Then walked back to the mansion as it was about 4:30 am. I got to my room on the third floor, and changed out of my Batman costume. Then I put my pijamas on, and got into bed. Even thought it was 4:30, I could still get a good hour and a half of sleep. I looked up at the ceiling thinking.

'Strange indeed'
