Game Night

*Charity P.O.V.*

When I woke up I was glad I was home and not at Charles house. Today Me and Mark's momma was going to the game together. I couldn't be held up all day with Charles. Once he get one second with me he dont like to let go. My plans for today was simple; clean up, go to mall and find an outfit then go to the game with mom-n -law. I first had to tell my momma my plans.

Knock,knock,knock I was knocking on the my mom door.

"whaaaat girl" she yelled with so much attitude.

"I was just telling you Mrs.Tina was taking me to the game with her tonight and I was finna head out to the mall to find something to wear" i said with just as much sassiness as her.

"Girl you aint finna tell me what you finna do you only 16, you aint ask either."

"well thats why i came to tell you to make sure it was okay, " i said walking back into my room to get my keys.

"Girl get out my face," as if i could see her.

I hopped in my car and start blasting my music. IDFWU came on first. I was bopping my head to the lyrics. I start dazzing off taking in all the words seriously. It was true i don't fuck with a lot of people. That was why I was always by myself. I mean I did have two bestfriends: Nique & Nesha. But both they ass at work. So I ride solo most of the time. Thats all I needed was me, myself and mio. I let that song replay about 20 times before I finally pulled into the mall. I wasnt tryna take long it was already 3 and his game cousin game started at 6. I was looking a nice lil dress to throw on. My first stop, Cotton On. That always got great deals and them slim white girl dress for the low.

I had found the perfect lil black and white strip long sundress dress. I was finna hop right in the shower and get dressed quick.

Mom-in-law said she was gone be here at 5:30 and it was 4:50 already.

5:00 pm

I was almost ready. I had to finish lotioning and i'd be ready to go. No more than 10 minutes after I finished lotioning Mrs.Tina was outside my house honking the horn for me to come on.

When I hopped in we said our heys and started gossiping and chit chating from there. When it was us two together we were a mess. It was a full show when me, Mark momma and his little sister Kayla were together. It was a triple threat. Tonight it was just two though and we still was gone have fun.

The game was a toss up. Mark's team would be in the lead by 10 then the other team would catch up and be in the lead. It was hard to tell who was gone win. All I knew if Mark didnt win he was gone be past pissed. He is a big ass sore loser. It was 3 minutes left in the game and Mark team was down by 13 points. I was getting nervous because the coach just sat Mark out again. And in all realiness they NEEDED him right now. He was their three point shooter. Coach was tripping. Mrs. Tina and I watched as they slowly start losing more and more. It wasnt gone be good.

8.6 Seconds left

It was official they had done lost. It was 61 to 50, I hated games like this. Mark always shut down after a loss. When we got in the car , Mark didnt speak or nothing. He turned his head and looked out the window the whole ride back to my house. When we got to my house turned and looked at me and said alright Charity. And I straight snapped. "FIRST OFF YOU DIDNT SPEAK TO ME THIS WHOLE RIDE HOME AND THEN ALL I GET IS AN ALRIGHT, BOY IF YOU DONT GET OUT THIS CAR AND GIVE ME PROPER HUG. I SWEAR I WILL PUNCH YOU IN YOUR NECK!" I was past mad. "Girl you gotta teach him how to be a boyfriend girl"Mrs.Tina said while laughing. When we walked around the back of the car and he hugged me and he said he was sorry. But me being the petty girl I am I asked for a kiss. Mooch. "Another one" I said while poking my lips back out. Mooch. "Dangg," he said annoyed. "Boy dont play with me, I'll snap again" I said walking away and unlocking my front door and walking in. I swear I hate when he act all stank. But thats why my pink lipstick would be all on his lip when he got back in the car. With my petty self.
