C H A P T E R 6

NOAH

She was in a state of shock, wondering how could someone who didn't know her, who was not even a person she was ever close with, know her secret like that. Something she was never willing to let anyone know about her. Her face showed blunt expression like she was numb, but I knew she was trying hard not to think about it. She just stared at me, with her pale skin and questioning eyes, like she had seen a ghost and could not believe if it was real or not.

well, what can I do? answer her questions? it ain't in me to answer people questions. I just showed her my million dollar smirk and tilted my head.

"you must be thinking that how do I know all about you. right? , Well Ms Sparks what can I do to make you feel good about this?" I asked nonchalantly

"Well, I don't fucking care that what u know about me is important. Just stop this shitty romantic nonsense that your trying to create and tell me why did you call me here?", her attitude surprised me. and made me stunned.

"Ms.Sparks lets get straight to the point. I m a busy person like you and I really don't have time for these childish acts-", she just cut me off in the middle and mutter under her breath," Well you were and still are acting like a vexatious child."

"Enough of this Ms.Sparks, I m trying to make a deal with you here but your tantrums aren't ending." I ended my sentence with a huff.

"What type of deal are you offering or should I say trading mr.andrews.?", she asked me in a full changed manner now.

"I want to invest in your company Ms.Sparks. I know that your company is going on top these days and I want to make IT a permanent place for your company.", I completely said what I wanted to say.

"give me a solid reason Mr.Andrews that why should I let you invest in MY company? WHY YOU ?? " she asked me in a flat voice.

"The real reason for investing in your company-", I was distracted from the buzzing sound of her phone. my eyes shifted to her and she gave me an apologetic smile, stood up from her seat and went near the railing.

after 5 minutes of her whispering on her phone, she came back, picked her purse and while taking out her car keys, something caught my eyes that fell on the floor. and she left even without saying goodbye.

I picked up the anonymous object and kept it safe. I paid the bill, went directly out of the restaurant and the valet parked my car in front of me and gave me my keys. I got inside the car and was off to my place.

KARREN SPARKS POV

" I don't know what will I say to her HERMEN? she will be upset and won't even talk to me....what should I do?"

I was pacing back and forth in my bedroom. HERMEN sitting on the edge of my bed and twice trying his best to calm me down with his words.

ugh god, help me out!

REBECCA POV

I don't know what is her problem. like I know in the deep core of my heart, I care about her. but calling me and telling me that something important came up and u have to come is not understandable. you tell the person about the important rising cause but hell no. she did the same thing when dad died and shes doing it again. ohhh I hope she's fine and safe because in my world there isn't a single soul that is safe.

I was on the eastern highway, an hour away from my mom's place and was crossing the speed limit. for a second I came back to my senses and realised that I left Noah there without even saying goodbye. ughhh mom

after an hour of driving, I reached moms and thought about what happened that was so important. I left the car in front of the main door near the fountain. got out of my car and went to my front door and rang the bell.

after like whole 5 minutes, our butler Robert opened the door for me. I passed him a smile and nodded. I took off my cape and gave him to hang it. I asked him about mom. and he told that madam is in the living room. I thanked him and left for the living room. I don't know why I felt that the surrounding was giving me a weary feeling.

I entered the L.R, saw my mom laying on the couch and I guess shes resting. I made a commotion while coming to her and bumping some stuff with my feet. I acted that it was all by my mistake. well, it's all for calling me in a hurry. I gave her a warm hug and kissed her cheeks.

"Hey mom, how are ya?" I asked in a hurry while sitting on the couch beside her. she acted differently I don't know for what reason. well I know there is something that she is hiding. I unlocked my phone and acted that I was using and busy on it but I was just giving her time to say what she wanna say. she got up from the sofa and started pacing to and fro. and was asking silly questions that have I eaten dinner or where was I and blah blah blah.

"mom calm down and say what you want to say. No need to panic and pace around the room.", I said while putting my phone back in my pocket. I stood up and went near her and side hugged her. she hesitantly made my arms leave her and went back to sit on the couch and held her head in her hands.

"I know your gonna hate me after listening to this.", she said while lifting her head up and looking me straight in my eyes.

"what is it, mom ?", I asked after getting done with this thing.

"look a few weeks ago I met a guy, while I was shopping and he helped me out a lot in the shop. he was a nice guy and after that, I went daily there to shop plus meet him. it went on and on and yesterday he proposed me and I said YES.", she said and took a deep breath.

ok for saying I was shocked was understandable but I was astonished and stupefied. whoa, she literally got me there. and I was done with her for a moment.

"Are you kidding me, mom??", I asked not believing the words that left her mount a few minutes.

"no REBI I m telling you the truth and even-", she was cut off with a door opening and there was an old guy standing there that I have never ever seen in my life. ok, this is getting crazy. My mom ended that sentence while muttering under her breath "here."

AFTER an hour of discussing this topic, I accepted it. I accepted another dad for me. I accepted another guy for my mom. I accepted it at last. I thought about it for a long time and gave her my blessings. and left my moms place.

driving plus songs was a good thing to forget something easily and move on. All the city lights were just amazing and looking awesome. the long drive ended sadly. I forgot my cape there in a hurry.

I got out of my car and went inside my building. nodded at my guards. as I was fidgeting my personal penthouse entry card the on that I was sure that was in my purse wasn't there NOW. ughhhh I lost it again. I called my guards and asked them about my card that have they seen it somewhere but nothing. thank god I have a safe card in the building . after like 15 minutes I got it. and was now entering in my penthouse, DARKNESS was touching every little corner of my house. I put my keys on the stand and threw my purse on the single sofa and straight landed on the couch.

what a hectic day it was ugh. I began yawning while looking at my watch and closed my eyes.

"you forgot right....?"
