Chapter 20: The Father

Y/n POV

"....I can explain!" You say. Carter then stands up and crosses his arms. "Well explain!" "Carter...a couple of days ago....me and Hayes had sex.." You say. At first, Carter was just shocked, then his face showed nothing but anger. He turns to Hayes and punches him in the face. Hayes falls to the ground and gets right back up and tackles Carter to the ground, throwing punches. "Stop! Get off of him!!" You yell at them, breaking it up. Carter looks at you, then Hayes and storms out of the room. You run after him. "Carter! Baby I'm sorry please stop!" You say grabbing his arm. He snatches away from you and leaves. You break down and cry. "Y/n?" You hear Hayes say. You turn to look at him and see that he's pale white. "Are you pregnant?" You nod. "Am I the father?" He asks. "That's the thing Hayes....I don't know!" You say through your tears. "Well whatever happens...I'm here" he says. You nod and head up to your room.
--2 weeks later--

These past couple of weeks you've been missing Carter more than anything. He hasn't returned any of your calls or texts and he hasn't been at school. You're worried like he'll. You and Hayes are going to the doctor after school for a DNA test, because if the baby isn't Hayes' then it has to be Carter's.

--after school--

You're walking out of school and you turn the corner and see Carter standing there with puffy red eyes and a hurt expression on his face and it breaks your heart. "Y/n I missed you so much! I'm so sorry for how I left." Carter says. "No Carter I'm so sorry for cheating on you! These past few weeks have been he'll without you." You say. "I love you Y/n." Carter says. "I love you too baby." You say. You and Carter talk and he decides that he's gonna go with you and Hayes to the doctor.
--skip to the doctor--

Careter and Hayes have already given DNA to the doctor so now you guys are waiting for the results. About 20 minutes passes and no one says a word. After 10 more minutes the doctor walks in. "Well Ms Y/l/n....it looks like the father of your baby is Mr.Grier! Congratulations you two." He says. You look over at Hayes and see that his face is once again ghost white. You look over at Carter and see his head in his hands. He slowly gets up and you grab his arm. "Baby this doesn't change anything." You say. "You're still mine and I still want to be with you." Carter stares into your eyes and then kisses you passionately. He pulls away, smiles, and says "You're right". You look over and see that Hayes is still in shock. He gets up and walk a out, but you don't get up to stop him, because you know he just needs to be alone right now.
--later that night--

You're laying down on your bed and you hear someone come in. It's Hayes. "Hey" he says. "Hey" you say. He walks over and sits down on the end of your bed. "Look Y/n....I've been thinking and...whether were together or not...I'm always gonna love you and I'm definitely gonna be here for my child. You smile and give him a hug. "Thanks" you say. "No problem" he says.

--3 months later--

Things have been going great lately with you and Carter. You and Hayes have gotten closer though, due to the baby. You guys told your parents already and at first they were pissed, but they soon got over it and accepted it. You recently dropped out of public school and started school online, and so has Hayes and Carter so you see the both of them a lot more.You also moved in with Carter since he's 18 and he has his own place. You are now at the doctor with Hayes and Carter, because today is the day you find out the gender of your baby. "Okay Y/n, pull your shirt up." The doctor says. You pull up your shirt, revealing your growing baby belly. The doctor puts the gel on your stomach and starts moving it aroung with that little gadget thing (I don't know lol). He moves it around for a little while and by now you can already tell what it is. "It looks like" the doctor starts, "you're having a little baby--

And that's the end of the book!!!! But don't worry like I said I am making a sequel to this book AND a separate book. The first chapter of the sequel will be put up Dec.28/ Nash's Bday!!!(Maybe sooner than that ;)) But you can only know if you follow me, so make sure you follow me so you can see when I put that up.
