you'd had enough of mindlessly tapping through random apps on your phone, and you quickly grew bored of all your mobile games. your eyes felt like they were burning from staring at the screen for too long, and no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't pass the next level of candy crush.

"stupid game." you mumble in frustration, thinking that you're only loud enough for yourself to hear, but you catch taehyung's attention.

he peeks at you over the book he was previously absorbed in, but now he was amused at your irritated grumbling. he placed the book back into his bag.

"hey." he says, turning your focus to him. "we're gonna be stuck here for a while—"

"i'm aware of that, sherlock."

"—so we might as well make the most of it." taehyung raises an eyebrow a little too suggestively for your liking.

"as if!" you scrunch your face up with disgust, but you can't help your cheeks warming up a little at the idea.

taehyung rolls his eyes, and you catch a faint shade of pink tinting his cheeks too. "that's not what i meant. i meant, let's play a game. truth or truth."

"um. you pronounced 'truth or dare' wrong."

"no dares. just truths."

"that sounds dumb." you roll your eyes.

taehyung shrugs. "your loss." he gets his book out again. "i guess you'd rather die of boredom."

after sulking for precisely one minute, you change your mind. "fine. let's play."

taehyung smiles and shifts all his attention onto you. it makes you nervous for some reason, like a super bright spotlight was trained on you.

"okay, i'll go first. start simple; give me a truth to answer."

you think for a while. "um...who's your crush?"

taehyung sighs, disappointed. "come on, y/n. are we still in sixth grade?"

"i don't know what i'm supposed to ask!" you huff, becoming embarrassed. "you give me a truth, then."

"okay, what's the dumbest thing you've ever done?" taehyung asks you with ease, like he had it right on the tip of his tongue.

"getting on this stupid train is the dumbest thing i've ever done." you roll your eyes, then realise taehyung's waiting for you to ask him something next. "okay, when the last time you cried?"

"you ask the lamest questions, y/n."

"how come you're not answering any of—"

"okay, it's my turn." taehyung tilts his head to the side, thinking for a while. then he looks back at you, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, which you definitely don't notice are immaculately shaped and the perfect shade of pink. "where's the weirdest place you've had sex?"

your mouth drops open a little. you certainly weren't expecting that to come out of his mouth. you look down at your feet, a little hesitant to answer.

"i haven't actually, well, i'm not really..." you stumble over your words, trying to find the right ones.

"are you a virgin?" taehyung exclaims incredulously. "you've never had sex befo—!"

"okay, it's my turn." you cut taehyung off, looking elsewhere to hide the fact that your cheeks were flaming up. "what would you do for a million dollars?"

"of course you would ask a question about money." taehyung scoffs sourly and shakes his head.

"what's that supposed to mean?" you speak sharply whilst frowning, offended at his words. "you don't know me."

"but i know you're a spoilt brat."

"you're just jealous." you say childishly.

"jealous of what?" taehyung frowns. "you know what they say; 'money can't buy happiness.'"

"but it can buy chanel earrings, and that's good enough for me." you cross your arms smugly, expecting taehyung to combat you with another comeback, but he just smiles and tilts his head.

"you're not happy, are you, y/n?" it was his eyes - it was like they could see right through you, and you hated it.

you avoid eye contact and look out the window. the snow was still falling as persistently as ever.

"like i said, you don't know me, so shut up." you say in a steely tone, indicating that not only the conversation, but also the whole game, was over.
