第五个小时。

"so where are you going?" you ask, eyeing the singular bag taehyung had with him. you wondered where he could be headed with such a small amount of luggage.

"well, right now we're not moving so i guess i'm not going anywhere—"

"tae." you interrupt, rolling your eyes, but you couldn't help a small smile forming on your lips. "you know what i mean."

"you're so curious about me, y/n." taehyung smirks as he looks at you, once again managing to evade the question. "one might even think that you like me." he raises an eyebrow cheekily.

"just answer my question." you bite back a grin, cheeks flushing slightly.

taehyung shifts around uncomfortably in his seat, looking everywhere but you. whilst fiddling with his fingers, he tries to come up with something to avoid the question again, but he can't, so he just sighs defeatedly.

"i'm going to visit my grandmother." taehyung finally answers after a while.

"oh." you say, expecting something a little more dramatic after the long pause. "that was a little anticlimactic." you chuckle, but it fades once you see that taehyung isn't laughing along with you - his expression is rigid, no sign of a smile anywhere on his face.

he looks down at his feet. "she's really sick." taehyung's voice cracks, and he starts spilling out words. "the doctors said she doesn't have much longer to live, they said she has about a year left, but it's most likely less than. this could be her last christmas, and what's worse is my parents can't come with me to see her because we could only afford one train ticket—" taehyung stops himself and looks at you, then shakes his head and looks back down. "i don't know why i'm telling you all this."

you wrap your arms around taehyung, catching both yourself and him off guard. it was an unexpected impulse move, something that seemed right when you were thinking about it, but now that you'd done it, you were regretting it. it was too late now though, you couldn't pull away. or rather, you didn't want to pull away.

taehyung hugs you back even tighter, enveloping you in his arms, where your body fit with his so perfectly. he felt so warm, in contrast to the coldness outside, and his sweetly fresh scent was addictive.

"it's gonna be okay." you murmur absentmindedly into taehyung's chest.

"that's easy for you to say," taehyung replies, "you don't have to worry about one of your family members getting ill because you have the money to pay for their treatment, and their medical bills."

you sharply pull away from him. "so i can't be troubled because i have money?"

"no, you can't." taehyung answers abruptly with a clipped tone. "princesses like you don't have to worry about anything."

"weren't you the one who told me 'money can't buy happiness'?" crossing your arms, you create some distance from taehyung, not liking the tense atmosphere suddenly forming between you two.

"but with your dumb chanel earrings, you're trying to tell me that it's a struggle being rich?"

"i never said that. stop twisting my words. i'll sue you." you say pathetically, annoyed at how annoyed you were.

taehyung shakes his head in disbelief. "wow, you're more of a spoilt brat than i thought you were."

"and you're more an asshole than i thought you were." you get up and grab your suitcase, and start moving to another carriage. "good luck with your grandma."
