~ Cheater ~ Chapter-Five

Once everyone was asleep, I slowly walked out of the room and sneezed through the hallway. I begged no one would wake up but it was no use thanks to the creaky floor, I opened the back door and began running.
I kept going straight until I got to the small town, I found a hotel and ran in and asked one of the workers there if I could borrow there phone. They gave it to me, along with a blanket, some food, and new bandages on my leg and arm. I dialed my parents phone number and told them exactly what happened, I told them about the shooting and when I ran out the woods. I left the part where Rai saved me out.
My parents told me they would arrive here tomorrow and the kind manager let me stay at the hotel for the night. I looked out the window and began to sigh, Everything is now back to normal, I thought. I layed on the bed and hugged the pillow pretending it was Mark, it helped me calm down and soon I fell asleep.
                         * Next Morning *
I woke up to the smell of fresh cut trees. I asked one of the maids outside my room what the time was. It was 12:30 AM, I realized my parents were gonna get here soon, I ran back inside my room and changed I to my old clothes and grabbed the room keys and ran down the stairs and handed the workers the keys and waited patiently outside for my parents.
I kept thinking about Rai and what he did for me, then I heard the sound of a car honking in front of me and I looked and it was my parents. I took a deep breath and got inside my parents car, the old smell of hazel nuts and mint reminded me of home. I looked at the hole in the seat, the one I chewed on when I was little and saw that it still had my teeth marks on it.

My mom looked at me worried and said, Aurora sweetie are you ok?,

Does anything hurt?

DO YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!

No mom, I sighed...

She stared at me and put her hand on top of mine.

Sweetie, are you sure?

I nodded...

She began to drive and I stayed quiet not saying anything at all on the way home. She got to the entrance of our house and opened the door for me. she asked me if I needed anything and I said no, she led me all the way to my room. Before leaving she left me some clothes and food on my counter and left my room.

I changed into the clothes she left me and I realized, I needed to see if Mark was ok. I ran down the stairs and opened the front door and ran the through the front lawn. After ten minutes, I arrived at Mark's House and saw a car I kinda recognized, it was Jess's Car. I kept thinking to myself on why would Jess be at my boyfriends house. I took a deep breath and walked to his front door, I was about to knock but the door was already opened and I went inside. I looked around and heard some noise upstairs. I walked up the stairs and there was a room at the end of the hallway, which was where all the noise was coming from. I took a deep breathes and walked quietly down the hall. I stopped at the door and slowly opened it, I peaked inside and I thought I was hallucinating at first but there Mark was with Jess in bed...He was cheating on me...I swung the door opened and looked at both of them, trying to hold my tears in.

Mark was frightened and startled he said, Aurora what are you doing here?

Jess stayed quiet and kept staring at me. I ran out of his house crying, thinking "why would he do this to me", I ran home and went up to my room and slammed the door shut and I fell to my bed, my heart was crushed, I yelled in my head, WHY!!! AND WITH MY BEST FRIEND!!!, I wiped my tears away with my pillow...but it was no use I let more tears out...I cried myself to sleep and let my mind forget everything...I wanted to forget everything Mark, Jess, Zack, EVERYTHING!!!
As I fell asleep all I thought about was...
