The Science of "No"

I can't believe that it's been over two years since I've written in this book. No. Yeah I guess you're right, this book has confused pretty much any unfortunate person who came across it. The confusion has to end at one point. No. No? No.

Anyways, during these two years I've totally become the most powerful and wise professor in the entire universe. No. Please don't expose me for just this time! No. That's it, No (if that's actually your name), I'll prove to you that I have the genes of a mad professor! No. I'm going to create one more chapter! No! YES, and this chapter shall be about the science of No! Forget my Twilight fan fiction that I wanted to write about. YES... wait NO! Forget about it, No, you know that you've said "yes" several times in this book. I no. That was a horrible pun, No, just no. No.

Ok, No, do me a favor and let me talk just this once without being interrupted. It's finally time, to conclude this book. Hopefully this chapter will prove to be a great, yet still confusing, finale!

...No

The Power and Responsibility of "No"

In this world, there is a common awareness of the positive view that the word, "Yes" has upon people. Using the word, "yes," shows that you are willing to follow an idea. Your heart is opened and in agreement to a statement, so you just have to say, "yes!" Yes also helps other people understand us as we can confirm upon how we feel about something. Anyhow, I think we all know what the word "yes" does, so enough talk about "yes!" This book, which sadly did not turn out to become a Twilight Fan-fiction, is called the "Book of No." Because of this title, we must end this book, talking about "No."

The Power and Responsibility of "No"Except I actually talk about "No."

Anyways, what do we know about the word "no?" We know that "No" has two letters inside it. We know that when it comes to the complexity of "no," we might say that no, the word "no" is not that complex. "No" is arguably portrayed as "negative," as it literally means the negative response contrary to "yes," which is the positive response. However, because the word "no" is the negative response, does it mean that no is negative in a way that is not positive and is undesirable? This is simply answered by a word that should be pretty predictable by now...

...No

No indeed. While the word "No" is literally the negative response, it does not mean that we shouldn't use the word "no" to live a life to the fullest. In fact, "No" may be necessary to be able to fully enjoy the gifts that can be found in life. While "yes" allows us to open our hearts and try new things, which can in no doubt benefit our life, "no" on the other hand acts as a protective shield upon the emotional and physical dangers that do exist, and will continue to exist in life. "No" acts as a protective shield against these dangers because if we ponder upon the word before we take actions that may prove to be risky, we give ourselves the ability to think logically before we try literally anything. And by literally anything, I mean literally anything. Choices are a powerful thing that people take for granted, as it can lead to great consequences and also terrible consequences. If we lived in a world where the only answer available was "yes," our gates would be completely open to great consequences and bad consequences alike as we really wouldn't be able to make a choice. However, with "no," we can reject the choices that would inevitably lead to bad consequences.

With this in mind, it is good to consider two other things. First of all, it is good to know that the word "no" does not block you from all bad consequences and trials that happen in life. Bad things happen, but does that mean we should give up? No, and I will get more into this later on. With "No" we can prevent ourselves from making bad choices which helps us live life the best way we can as much as possible. My second point is that we shouldn't use just "no" if we want to live life to the fullest. Like I mentioned several times before, "yes" opens up opportunities, which helps us learn, grow, try new things, gain experience from trials and blessings alike, and lead us to the satisfaction of accomplishing great things. In my opinion, it is through balancing "No" and "Yes," that life can be lived to the fullest as "Yes" opens up dreams and opportunities, and our great friend "No" protects us from harm.

Along with protecting us from making choices that lead to bad consequences, the word "No" can actually lead us to think better upon ourselves and the world. I'll demonstrate this by answering several questions with, you know it, "No."

Is it impossible to find joy, especially in difficult times?

...No

Because I've reached the bottom of the pit, does that mean I should give up?

...No

Should I be distressed because of the limited time we have in this life?

...No

Should I be even more distressed when they run out of ice cream at the local ice cream shop?

...No (Well Maybe)

My point is from these examples is that with "No," we can block ourselves from thoughts that harm us emotionally and strive to bring us down. Through "No" we can still have a positive outlook of life and ourselves (this can also be done with "yes" but this book is not called "Book of Yes"). If used correctly and responsibly, the word "No" can truly be our friend in life, just like the character, claimed to be called No, that appeared in this book.

Conclusion

Wasn't that deep? No. Was it kind of cheesy? Opposite of no. Should this book be taken with complete seriousness? No. However, was it a fun ride? Etiam. You know "No" you really don't have to say "Yes" in Latin. No? Just admit it, this whole book has just been me talking to myself. Fine, yes it has been. Even with my mom, who apparently burnt this book because it was cursed, that was all me, wasn't it? Yes. Was I even intending on creating a Twilight Fan-fiction in the first place? No. Yeah you're right, that would've been a disaster. I've only seen the first couple of minutes of the first movie. No. Fine, maybe I fell asleep during the first 10 minutes. No. FINE, I did not fall asleep and I watched a good chunk of it! Anyways, do you want to play Smash Bros for Wii U now? No. True, we have ultimate.

To those who read this book,

Thank you so much for reading! I apologize for the confusion that might've crossed you while reading this. I honestly have had no idea what I was doing while writing this. I'm glad if I was able to bring some amusement to you in this highly unprofessional and crazy book. Now since this is the true ending of this book, you may be wondering, "will there be more chapters?" To answer that question, I will answer it with one word, which as predictable as it is, has kept readers interested for years....
