[3RD PERSON POV]
{UNDER THE GUMAMELA TREE}

The winds of change flew by Ochako's hair, humming joyfully.

She was excited for tomorrow's event. Though she knew she wouldn't be chosen but still, she was joyous.

"Don't stay awake for too long
Don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
I'll get you up and going out of bed..."

She then closed her left eye and caressed it gently.

'Why was I born with this eye?'

Ochako was laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling. She had nothing to do, she didn't feel like sketching nor playing the ukelele.
(Oh yea, she plays the ukelele too :>)

She got up and walked to her bathroom, she looked at the mirror and stared at herself, mostly focusing on her left eye.

She sighed and took off the fake brown eye.

(I recommend u to read this while listening to 'From now on' from the greatest showman to idk- set the mood? Lol)

As she looked at her mirror again, her left eye was not the brown eyes that everyone sees.

A m a z o n i t e

Her left eye was a gem called 'Amazonite' and as for her right eye was real a brown eye.

Whenever she cried, only her right eye can produce tears while her left eye would change into obsidion.

That's why she wears the fake brown eye, the last time she saw her obsidion eye was when she was 15.

Ochako stared at her mirror until she shed a tear, her left eye slowly turning into obsidion.

'I look like a monster with this eye... why give me this hidious eye'

When her Mother gave birth to her, Doctors found out that she had a gem as a eye, they never knew why but tried various things to remove the crystal.

Surgery after surgery, nothing worked, the gem was stuck to her eye. Doctors would always say 'It's her eye'. Doctors suggested that she would wear the fake brown eye when she was 4, since at the age of 4 she started kindergarten. She had to wear it for her sake.

Her parents would tell her 'Your not a monster' or 'Your beautiful Ochako,with or without that eye'.She was still young when she asked those questions like 'Am I a monster?', and those were the answers of her parents.

But as she grew, she realized that she was a monster with that eye. She tried to remove the gem like eye but nothing worked.

'Ochako, one day someone will change your mind of calling yourself a monster with that eye'
