"You've got good taste Y/N," Jungkook comments, as he hands you the book, his hand gently brushing against yours.

You would have flinched away but instead you were too busy thinking to yourself, this idiot reads? Like actually reads? While directing a questioning look towards him.

As if hearing your thoughts, he scoffs,"I might not be as stupid as you expect me to be."

"You can't blame me for that. A person's opinion of another is often based on your actions and how you treat them," you exclaim, thinking back to all the not-so-pleasant encounters you have had with him,"You still expect me to think of you as good company?"

"Perhaps you don't know me well enough?" Jungkook defends himself.

"Perhaps that is not a question you are supposed to answer with another question Jeon? Infact, I am not interested in getting to know any further." You sass, trying your best to not roll your eyes at him.

"Perhaps you may have no choice since you will be staying at our place for a while?" Jungkook smirks, clearly satisfied with his reply.

"Perha- wait who told you that?" You question in pure horror.

"Tae did," Jungkook responds,"infact that and your phone being dead is why I am here. He wants you to hurry home, he told me something about talking to your parents about this entire thing. Were you seriously considering getting a babysitter?"

"It was my parents' idea, not mine," you huff, "and I would appreciate if you stop calling him 'Tae', that is my nickname for him."

"But-"

"Also, thank you very much!" You cut him off, as you place the book carefully inside your bag and proceed to walk towards the exit, in a hurry to get home.

"For giving you the message or helping you get the book?" He shouts, earning a 'shush' from the old librarian.

"Both." You confirm, while turning back one last time and you could swear that for a second, there was something different about those ebony eyes; they did not hold the cold and distant glare, rather they looked rather warm and welcoming.
