I tried not to laugh in the back. It was too funny. “It’s right here.” I added breaking the silence. Kenneth pulled over , got out and opened the door by me. “Have fun kids.” He said with a mischievous smirk on his face. “Kenneth, I’m 16” Jacob stated. He always hated being called a kid. No matter how young he was, He was always grown. “And i'm not so to me you're a kid. Let me know when you hit 21” kenneth joked. “Why can't I go to school.” Roc whined from the back seat. “They already don’t want afro there so your loud ass won't make matters any better.” Kenneth joked

Jacob and I started walking into my school once Kenneth pulled off. We got here late so we had to get buzzed in by the principal. I’m the top honor student in the whole school yet he still hates me. I break the silence and start talking to Jacob.
“Umm Jacob, why didn’t kenneth come with you..” I questioned with a sorta concerned look on my face.
“Cause i’m GROOOOOOOOOOWN.!!” He yelled as soon as my principal finally buzzed us in. What did I say.? This boy still plays entirely too much.
“Boy hush, You’ll make a scene.” I joked pushing him on the shoulder.
“I’m Jacob Perez. If I came in here lookin like Barack O’Princeton i’m still going to make a scene.” He said laughing. I laughed at the fact that I remember that Ustream. It was my favorite. Our festivities were rudely interrupted by Mr.Gonzales, My principal.
“Umm Excuse me Ms.Santiago, I thought I told ‘Kenneth’ that Princeton was not allowed in my school.” He conjectured. I replied with a simple “Umm I though he told you he didn’t care. THAT IS PRINCETON. AFRO PUFF. MR.FERNANDO. AND HE’S GROOOOOOOOOOOWN!!”
“Mari, don’t cause a scene.” Jacob implied laughing.
“NO , No one comes at my client reckless and gets away with it.” I replied imitating a lawyer to Jacob. “Now what were you complaining about Mr.Teacher.” I said smirking at Mr.Gonzales.
“Maricella, go to my office.” He said with a stern look.
“OOOO Am I in trouble?” I implied rolling my eyes. “Calmar hacia abajo amor (Calm it down love)” I swear he knows exactly how to shut me up. “Bueno” I uttered blushing. “Bye Mr.Guadalupe” I say once more locking my arm into Princetons.
“It’s Gonzales.” He shouted from down the hall.
I threw my hand up and yelled back “WHATEVER.”
We get up to my locker and get my books and all that good stuff of there and i put my headphones inside. ”You must run this school.” Jacob implied leaning on Alyssa’s locker. “What possessed you to think that.?” I replied sarcastically.
“Ahha, Well what’s your first class.” Jacob questioned. “Homeroom.” I said in a disgusted tone. I DESPISE my homeroom teacher. “What do you do in that class.?” he asked. “Not much , just talk about our weekend or watch a movie. Today its my choice to pick the movie.” I replied.
“What movie are we watching?”
“Take a guess.?”
“Umm , don’t be afraid of the dark.?”
“That movie was stupid and no.”
“Umm , The orphan killer?”
“That movie was DOPE , But no.”
“I don’t know , I give up.”
“ALL AROUND THE WOOOOOOORRRRLLLLDDD!!!!!!” I say with spirit fingers. (Lmhoo!!)
“HAHAHA.. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I’ve seen that move a good Billion times.” He said fixing his kneehigh green socks.
“But I bet you don’t know every word like I do.” I joked. Don’t look at me like that. I know he’s in the damn movie. (lol)
Chica what do you mean. I said nearly every word why you playin.” He said in his Mexican accent. We both laughed and began lowkey walking towards my class.“So wheres everyone else?” “In class.” I say nonchalantly.
“REALLY , I MADE YOU LATE” He shouted grabbing my arm and beginning to run. “LETS GO.” “Homeroom doesn’t really matter but okay” I say while running” Take a right.” “Which classroom is yours..?” Jacob says while still running. “Well maybe we should stop running so I could show you.” I joked. “Bien Bien (Okay Okay)” “Its this one.” I say pointing at the classroom. “Lets get in there before your marked absent.” Jacob implied with a concerned tone. “Cause I really care right.” I joked.
Jacob and I walk in and my teacher isn’t even in the room and I think to myself like foreal, I did all that running for nothing. As soonas we got into the room, everyone looked at us and began whispering. My two friends Aaliyah and Alyssa almost had a panic attack. Along with myself they havent seen Jacob in years so they were just as suprised as me the first timei seen him. I could already see all the questions on their faces. I gave them the 'I'll explain later' look and they just went about the day.
“Ayo Mari, Ms.Valdez went looking for you.” Aaliyah yelled from our seats in the back of the room.
“ Leah, I may be a straight A student but when's the last time you seen me give any type of concern about what Ms.Valdez does.” I joked. “Lets get to our seat before your teacher gets back.” Jacob whispers.
We go sit down and wait for the teacher to come in. “Oh, Since i’m here now I can put in my suprise movie.” A few people in the class mumbled things under their breath. Thought they were slick.
I go put in the movie and once the movie starts the first thing I hear is Alyssa jump up and say “Hell yeah, girl you know this is my movie. You know this my move, Oh hell yeah. Team Mindless in this bitch now” and Aliyah said “HEYY NOW.! We bout to get this shit crackin. They dont know. Man they not even ready for this.” and the rest of the class groans and moans except for like 5 people cause they’re tryna act cute cause they know one of the boys are in the room. I know I’m gonna get a lot of questions after class about him being there too. About 15 mins into the movie the teacher decides to come back to class. She immediately spotted me. “Oooo, Girl you in trouble.” Alyssa implied. I decided to have some fun with the teacher.
“Welcome back to class, Thank you for joining us Ms.Valdez. Do you have a pass..? I joked. Some people in the class were laughing including Jacob. “And I thought I was funny.” He asserted. “Maricella, Ven aquí (Come here).” She thinks that just because she knows my parents that she can speak spanish at me Pero no (But no).
“OOOOOOOOOOOOO.” The class said. “Foreal, we’re on that 2nd grade mess? Whatever. Come on Prince.” “No just you Maricella.” Ms.Valdez said with a stern look in her eyes. “Anything you have to say to me, Can be said in front of him.”Bien, en el pasillo (Fine, In the hall)” She said pointing her finger to the hall. “oooo I’m so scared.” I said grabbing Jacobs hand......................
