XVII. Searched Pt. 2

Previously on TCS: When Chandler and James have found Alexander's location they immediately head out. On the way, headmaster Lu called Chandler.

Chandler wore an earphone to have some privacy and to talk with his father. James is just there sitting steadliy as if he doesn't know anything.

James POV

Chandler just got an earful from his father but I still believe that it was too much. Chandler is also his son. I know he's worried and so are we.

But it just too much. Is he not worried about Chandler, I mean - we are going to the people who abducted Alexander - - which is technically dangerous.

But all he care is Alexander.

But, what can I say?

Who am I?

I'm just his nephew.

Headmaster Lu dotes Alexander while the late headmistress dotes the both of them. That's why Chandler is much closer to their mother and not to much to their father.

I know all of this because we are cousins. James L. Cortez is my full name. Graduated from the same school as Alexander and Chandler.

I can still remember, back then when their mother is still around, Alexander and Chandler are beaming with smile on their faces just like a normal kid would have done but everything went south when their mother had gone.

I always ask Chandler this question when we are still studying, who do you love the most? He will always answer the name of their mother.

The headmistress sudden death changed everything. Uncle changed, so did Alexander and Chandler. Uncle even sent Chandler abroad and I heard that he became rebellious and quite infamous.

Maybe that wasn't true, because Chandler is just lively as he seems in the past when he went back from abroad.

I'm just glad that Alexander and Chandler are shining again like the old times.

'I think I owe this to Secretary Lynne.' --and James suddenly remembered.

"Does Secretary Lynne knows?" James suddenly asked.

"Yes. It's Prince who suspected about brother's abduction and he also told Lynne. I already called her, you don't have to worry about it."

'Brother, I'll be there.'

Chandler and James are going closer to the place of the address. James cannot help to think about the possibilities they will encounter if ever, something came up.

James always think of the worst case scenario to help himself prepare to the situation and for him to react as soon as possible.

This is James, he think of the possibilities to save time and it helps him to not be caught in a dilemma. He become efficient in his work with this mindset. He worked for Alexander three after they graduated and he knew that Alexander is perfectionist in nature and he will not show mercy to anyone even though they are cousins or friends.

James thought of the days that they are happy and contented. The days of them being just fine with just the four of them. It makes James wish to come back in time and just seize the moment of the past, even just for a minute.

In the corner of his eye, he assessed Chandler's behavior. He didn't heard a thing or two about the call and James is sure that Chandler received an earful. When Chandler took over the call, he switched off the speaker and put on the ear bud in his left ear. The call ended and the atmosphere inside the car become tensed and suffocating.
