Dark clouds filled the skies.
It had rained for some days, and this was one of the few breaks in between. Everyone was huddled indoors, either at their fireplaces,or already drifting off in sleep. The whole village lacked warmth,so everyone did what they could to avoid getting a cold.

Lone footsteps sounded around a corner. The owner of these footsteps soon emerged from a narrow lane, fully clad in a black cotton robe, with a hood half-covering his face. It was cold and quiet everywhere, but he didn't seem to mind.

He soon came to the front of the church. It formed a magnificent backdrop to the gloomy skies, just like a light to the darkness of the world.

He took a deep breath, then pushed the door and walked in.
His steps were seamless, even seeming like they had been practiced a hundred times.
He walked straight to the confession booth and knelt in front of it.

"May God,who has enlightened every heart, help you to know your sins and trust in his Mercy."
The priest recited these words with a solemn note.

"Forgive me father, for I have sinned." The black robed man began. "I have set my heart, and I have come to take away something I can never be able to give."

He pulled out a gun from his coat, and with a muffled report, sent the bullet into the priest's temple.

"Life."
