Des's POV

Today we are moving to a new town again this year. You might be wondering why did I say the word 'again' well this is the third time we are moving in a span of eight months. But I am grateful I at least have a home. My family adopted me when I was five. My parents, Christian and Brooke though I was adopted always treated me like a princess. They always made sure that I never felt out of place. Christian was a businessman and Brooke was a writer. Though Christian wasn't that successful he managed to make enough money for us to live a comfortable life. To this day I still don't know how he affords to move so much. I almost zoned out but became wide awake when I saw the board               WELCOME TO NIGHTON.                                                                                                        That was when I realized I never asked them where we are moving. I decided to search on the web to find any information about this town and it showed no results. I was a little confused since the town had a huge population but decided to ignore it. You might be wondering Destiny why in the world did you decide to ignore such a big thing. Well, first of all, I trust my parents and second of all, I am pretty sure they didn't bring me up with all this love just to throw me away.

I looked out the window and was met with my first view of the town. The town wasn't too modern. It looked like a normal town and looked quite cozy. I only hope that this town brings some amazing memories.

I only hope that this town brings some amazing memories

*THE NEXT DAY*

I woke up today feeling like I got hit by a bus. Today was my last day of vacation. I was too busy unpacking everything that I completely forgot about the thing called school. I quickly got dressed and decided to go for a walk since I haven't gone outside yet. The streets were full of people considering it was a weekday. While I was walking I thought about my experiences with people. Growing up I only had one best friend and her name was Daniella, she was an amazing friend well almost an amazing friend. One time, when I was twelve I was running to my next class cause I was late when I bumped into a guy named Joe. And when I said I bumped into I mean like knocking him over into a trash can. When he found me, he started cursing at me and slapped me. That guy seriously had some issues. I mean like cursing at me I am fine with that but he didn't had to slap me.   At that moment, something suddenly happened.

The time immediately slowed down and I secretly hoped his bag would be on fire . When the time was back to normal, we heard a scream and when I looked at him i realized his bag indeed was on fire. You might be thinking that he probably had something inflammable in his bag like a lighter . Yes, it might have been but to a twelve-year-old it was absolutely thrilling. When I talked about the incident to Dan she looked at me like I was crazy. Similar incidents started happening and I would tell her everything about it. Daniella started ignoring me a few days later and started spreading rumors that I was a demon child. Thus during middle school, people avoided me and my nickname was none other than the devil's child. Now that I look back it does sound crazy.  I was woken from my daydreaming when a car honked.

The crunching sound of the leaves under my footsteps and the woody smell in the air with the sound of the birds rushing to go back to their nests before its dark and the grey clouds attempting to block the sun and the sound of water flowing in the river nearby just engulfed me in a soothing hug.
The soothing feeling was soon replaced by a terrifying one. I could feel someone following me. I started speed walking considering the fact that even if I run I wouldn't know where to go. 'Good job Des, you got yourself a stalker within a week of stay'  my subconscious spoke. "Come on it must be just someone who lives close to me or just someone wondering who I am and just scared to approach" I replied. 'Say that when you get kidnapped idiot'  my mind murmured. "Ahem," the man said. I turned around a few seconds later to come face to face with a pair of red eyes.
