Chapter 2

Des's POV

I turned around to come face to face with a pair of red eyes. In this kind of situation, any normal person would scream and back away. Well, my brain doesn't work that way. I asked him "How can I help you, Sir". The man just stared at my face not saying anything for a few minutes. He looked like he was thinking and a moment later replied "Sorry, I just thought you looked familiar". I am not good with people in general so I just smiled at him. We shared a few awkward glances and I didn't want to seem anymore weirder so I decided to break the silence. "Cool contacts". He gave me a 'are you crazy' look and walked away. Well, that was weird.

Michael's POV

Why does she feel so familiar? But she appears like a human. But what is a human doing in the supernatural realm anyway? Maybe a traveler who accidentally stumbled upon our realm. Cool contacts as if. She's the first one to insult me like that. Well after Lucifer. Speaking of Luce, why is he calling me again now.

Michael: "Hello, Luce. Why is the devil calling me on my phone when you can simply mindlink me"

Lucifer: "First of all, don't call me that, and second of all I am tired so I want you to do me a favor and go to the human realm in my place."

Michael: "Luce, God literally gave you one job to do and you are gonna ask me to do it for you."

Lucifer: "Yes and your point? Anyway, I read somewhere that dealing with too much demons can make you a demon so i am just taking a break."

Michael: "Then are you asking me to be a demon?"

Lucifer: "You act like one anyway"

Michael: "Fine. As you wish... Lucyyyyyy."

Lucifer: Mic... (cuts the call)

I'll be fine as long as I don't go home for a few days. That devil.

Des's POV

That dude was scary af. Also why did he look like he was low-key offended when I complemented him. Weird. Maybe he is into vampire diaries and think he is a demon. That sounds about it. Damn people are getting weirder as time goes on.

wooowww someone's playing my favourite song. Wait a minute. That's my phone. It's already 9 pm damn mom is going to kill me. That's so weird why did time went by so fast.

Des: Yes, Ma

Mom: Des , it's really late why are you not home yet?

Des: Sorry, Ma. I was just looking around our new town and somehow after meeting a person with red eyes the time went by so fast.

Mom: You... met someone with red eyes?

Des: Yeah Ma. When I complemented him, he looked at me like I was a psycho. Funny right?

Mom: Yeahhhh. Get home quickly honey, you still are not at all familiar with the place.

Des : Ok Ma.

<A few minutes later>

I entered the house with the spare key and and after entering I could hear whispers from my parents' bedroom so I thought of wishing them a good night before I went to bed. But I stopped moving when I heard they were arguing. I was extremely confused since they never argued before. Thus, being curious cat I was, I concentrated on what they were saying.

Mom said with a sigh said "I told you before moving here was a mistake. She already met one of them. OMG what if they recognised her?"

Dad replied in an exhausted voice "You know its impossible for any of them to recognise her. Also I am sick of running away from them. I know you want to protect her, I want to protect her as well but being away from here made us start aging. Besides , our powers have decreased drastically to the point that we can't even protect her from small demons so its best if he protects her from now on, our powers are nothing compared to his."

Mom replied in a quiet voice" You are right. But I just don't know how I will feel once she leaves us."

Dad said in a serious tone "She was never meant to be ours. We destroyed their lives by taking her from them it's only fair they destroy ours."

I am so confused. I wonder who they are talking about. Still, I decided to wish them a good night.

I grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened the door. My parents looked at me the way a child would look at their mom when she finds them eating ice cream at midnight.

I asked my parents " Why do you guys look like you saw a ghost? Also what were you talking about it sounded like you guys were arguing."

Mom replied to me while stuttering "Uh.... we were.... just discussing the storyline for my new story."

"Ohh! When did you start writing fictional crime stories?" I questioned my mom.

Mom looked shocked and replied to me "He told me...... that kids nowadays were into that kind of books."

"That makes more sense. I almost thought you guys stole me from my real parents. Chill you guys that was a joke why did you guys tense up."

Dad laughed awkwardly and said "Hahaa. Nothing hun we are just tired."

"Then good night you guys. I am going to bed."

Mom and Dad replied to me Good night sweetie.

I guess they are really tired.

Third person's POV

Christian stared at his wife simultaneously his wife looked at him with a perplexed expression and both of them spoke the same words at the same time "How did she know?"
