Are we flying?
Are we lifted?
Are we sobbing against the wind?
Are we different?
It's hard to tell but easy to get
If you really never forgot.Did we fall?
Did we stall?
But through it all,
We mended the broken
And risen tens to tens of years
Now it's 26 of tears.
Age is a number, right?
But as far as you can remember
That's how tight,
That's how long since you've seen the light
You might get tired and flattered
But don't you ever forget. Are we miles ahead?
Are we there yet?
Are we hallucinating days?
Like it was yesterday
And wishing that we can reconnect?
That's how much it hurts
Even though that is not what they wantThey want us to grind
To get up from the ground
And reach the profound
Even though it's hard
It's just easier to cry when we pray
But does it get easier there?
Do you see how stronger we've gotten here?
I wonder, I ponder
I guess..... Yes!
I think you see us.See,
From darkness we took chances
We turned struggles and death into resilience
Pain never killed us, it gave us confidence.
For unity, peace and love is what we embrace
So we're shameless as you see
The greener is the grass
Everything is put in placeBut you're not here.....
To see how we defeated fear
But it's okay; you're not dead, I think you can hear
We're still seeing your faces in our mirrors.Sorry,
It's been a minute since we've talked
You know the world
We're always on the road
Working, fighting against all the odds
I know that's what you would've wanted
But it's hard.
The bed couldn't get emptier
Happiness seems rare
But we'll get there. Are we broken?
Do we still reveal the pain?
Even though it's been so long since you been gone
It feels like you've never left home.
We can still feel your skins,
Your word, advices, love, dreams
And stories into our bones
Flowing through bloods vein to vein;
By surviving that's how we won.
We're still going to mourn
By chasing our dreams
Harder, better and stronger that's how we aim.
Through hardship,
To pain and fatigue we'll sip
But we'll never forget your fate
We'll still walk feet to feet
From morning till we go to sleep.
