The reason I started this book was because my hand was dying from writing physically on paper. This will partially be a journal and at the same time contain rants or possibly relatable stories or just things I want to share with you guys!
Before I begin my never-ending story as a slightly introverted individual, I want to lay out a bunch of misconception I regularly receive.
"You're introverted? Does that mean you hate any sort of social interaction at all?"
Erm..No!
Being an introvert does NOT make me an antisocial. Both are complete different things.
An antisocial: Sees no use in communicating or even associating themselves with other people. They lack the understanding of socialising or feeling empathy towards others.**
An introvert: Although we do sometimes prefer spending time by ourselves, that does not mean we hate social interaction!
As much as we enjoy alone time, we also enjoy spending time with others. It would just take us time to slowly warm ourselves up to the person and feel comfortable with them. This also brings us to the difference of introvert from an extrovert.
An extrovert: Absolutely adores being with people. They get along with anybody and everybody. Socialising is not a chore to them, but a hobby and something they're so skilled at. (Teach us please, fellow extroverts who are reading this)
Yes, as an introvert, I really would like to know how to break out of my shell and be more assertive as well. I look up to extroverts and admire how easily they can make friends and speak up in public.
Seriously, how do they do it?
Public speaking is also one of my biggest fears, especially in a group of larger than 10 people.
Let alone speaking in front of hundreds of people, I would probably die on the spot or something.
So, yes. I hope you understand.
I am not an antisocial. I love it when people talk to me (Especially when we're discussing about the same interest: for instance, anime). But there will come a time where my battery starts running low, and I will have to scurry back into my hole and recharge my battery by spending quality time with myself.
(If you continue talking to me while my battery has run out, sorry to say that I will have zero concentration and might possibly get very irritated) *smiley face*
That's about it for my dramatic intro. Hope to see you in my next entries! Now, read the important notes below :)
[IMPORTANT NOTE! I am not an intellectual, my definitions of antisocial, introverts, and extroverts may differ from the actual meaning. I am just defining them from my own understanding.]
[**IMPORTANT NOTE #2! If you feel you are an antisocial, please do not get offended with my statement from above. I hope you stay on to read my stories, perhaps you will find out you're more of an introvert than an antisocial! :) This book is just for fun purposes. I really hope I don't offend anybody, but draw people closer to one another by showing them they are, in fact, not alone. YOU are not alone, and you have to understand that ❤︎]
