park jimin never liked the thought of visiting home. every time he stepped on the crusty wooden floor of his parent's house the only thing that he would reminisce was the shoutings and shattered glasses. unfinished sentences and an ignored cry behind closed doors left his heart stinging. for the men, having the courage to step inside the white door of his house was like ripping his chest open bare handedly.

after receiving a sudden call with the number he didn't save but grew to remember it too well, he didn't have a choice but to go down the old, dusty route that he never dared to go through for the past fourteen months.

along the way, he couldn't help but try to figure out what kind of occurrence did it take until his parents had the nerves to even dial his phone number.

his clammy hands gripped tightly onto the steering wheel. leaving traces of hot sweat on the surface of the black leather when he decided to turn right. the pace of his heart quickened as he realized he's just ten minutes away from the place that had once kept him as its prisoner.

he didn't realize how much his legs shook as he was driving, he had to take a grip on his thighs just so his feet would stop shaking too much.

jimin decided to pull off into a convenience store, only to park his car for a while so he could call someone at the speedy dial. once the line was connected and several loops of beeping went on, he licked his lips nervously. beginning to feel his hands turning ice cold.

his heart was hammering intensely, suddenly it felt like he wasn't able to breathe in the overflowing air around his body. the small compartment of his car felt claustrophobic. the person on dial wasn't picking up, only resulting the phone to emit the voice of a lady that usually spoke whenever someone on the line doesn't pick up.

his heart's pace started to shift into a maddening rhythm. the sudden inability to breathe properly didn't help much to the situation he was in. he couldn't do it anymore inside of his car so he trudged his way out, leaning his body onto the door of the sleek black suv while gasping in air like he was going through an aftermath of holding his breath under the water for an inhuman time. it was when he was still trying to regulate his breathing, the sound of his phone was heard. it was someone that was meant to pick up the phone earlier and jimin was glad that she called back.

with shaking hands, he decided to pick up the phone while desperately gasping for air. the sound of his heavy breathing was not hard to notice that several people looked at him worryingly.

"jimin?"

he couldn't speak even though he tried to articulate the words. what came out was a painful screech of his tiny voice, attempting desperately to talk but no sound came out of his mouth.

"hey? are you okay? are you dialing my number on mistake? your breath sounds off."

"don't.." he gasped. "hang out."
