I was in the middle of changing to my floor outfit when Azibo came in the room.
"Zibo!! Why are you in here?" I asked, putting on an oversized shirt.
"Gyall thata bwa who visited , ey, whassa name?"
"Hakim Williams?" I asked.
"Yaa yas. He's in da hosspitall. I dunno wat happen buh da bwa he buggin."
I hurried out of the dressing room to see about Hakim.
I pulled up to the hospital where I was stopped by doctors and it immediately occurred to me , why was I in the hospital visiting Hakim? He was merely a stranger, just someone I met at the club and bumped into a couple times.
Nevertheless, I told them I was visiting Hakim.
"He isn't doing well. He has had 3 seizures since yesterday and he needs 2 surgeries for his legs. The soonest he'll be out is in 4 months-IF he survives. There's only a 5% chance he can live and if he does, he'll have severe brain damage."
"Hakim?" I asked. Only pastor was there, holding his hand, crying and kneeling.
"Is he alright?" I asked again, kneeling down next to pastor.
"No. By the grace of God..." He said, crying.
I looked at Hakim. He looked bad. His eye and whole left side of his face was torn up with stitches and bruised badly. His side was covered in dried blood and his legs were bandaged up.
I felt helpless. I could not do anything to help him.
"Pastor, I hate to be rude but I left work just now and need to get back. Please tell him I stopped by." He nodded and put his head back down.
Hakim
All I could think of was Alicia. I felt sinful thinking about her but I could not change my thoughts. I was sedated and the same thing played over and over again in my mind. Alicia dancing in front of me seductively, Alicia teasing me, Alicia and I wrapped in the sheets together...
I tried to shake those thoughts out of my mind and finally came to my senses. I woke up with an aching headache. I tried to stretch my legs but a sharp pain rose up my leg to my thighs and I groaned loudly.
The only person in my hospital room was Pastor.
"You're awake! Thank God." He said, kissing my hand and standing up from his kneeling position.
"How long have I been out?" I asked, rubbing my forehead.
"You have had seizures on and off again for about 2 weeks straight."
"Wow." I said. "Chantel stop by?"
"No, not that I know of. Matter of a fact, I haven't seen her in a while." he said, deep in thought.
"Is she missing?" I asked, worried and fidgeting in my bed.
"No, she comes home at nights, just that I never see her during the day. Hmm."
"Who else has stopped by?"
"Ummm... only me, a couple of church members and... Oh yeah, that girl Alicia." he replied.
I smiled a little.
Alicia
"Oh my God! You're awake!" I announced.
"Hey..." He said giving me a sheepish smile.
"How are you doing?" I asked.
"Better. My legs hurt more than anything."
"Ohh, well that's good. You've been sleeping for a long time."
"Yeah, I heard. Did Chantel stop by?"
"No, not yet." Pastor said.
Hakim sighed.
"So when did the doctors say I'll be out of this joint?"
"In a couple weeks, depending on how your body reacts to the medicine. But you'll have to go to rehab for a couple months because your legs have lost lots of muscle strength." Pastor said.
"Rehab?"
"Yeah, but you can do it. Thank God you lived this long. You just missed having severe brain damage."
"Wow." I said, silently thanking God.

I returned to the club later that evening to do my full time routine .
I strutted up onto the stage, first kicking my head back and grabbing the pole between my fingers, climbing to the top and sticking my leg out and pointing bare feet out as I swung to the bottom.
People threw money onto the stage and I stuffed it into my bra then shaking my chest tauntingly I exited the stage.

Quick little chapter cause I was bored.
