Chapter 4

It was Saturday, and I was getting ready for mine and Chris's date. I was freaking out! I had no idea what to wear so I texted my Bestfriend Athena.

To bæ🙅: omfg you need to get over here and help me get ready for my date!

A few minutes later I got a text back.

From bæ 🙅: On my way!

I sighed in relief and waited till she got here. A heard my front door close and someone running up the stairs. My door flung open and my best friend appeared, she's so pretty! With her long brown straight hair, her lightly tanned skin, and her bright blue eyes.

"Okay, I'm here! Know who's this date with? Jack?"

"No. Chris."

She gasped and said,

"Okay, ya you need to look perfect even though you are already gorgeous."

"Thanks, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to wear because he won't tell me where we're going"

"So just text him and ask him if you should dress fancy or casual."

I nodded and decided to text chris to ask him.

To chris😜: heyy umm I was wondering if I should dress fancy, causal, give me some idea kidd💘

A few minutes later I got a text back from Chris saying,

From Chris😜: hey bæ just wear something casual but I'll see you in 3 hours 😘

"He said to wear something causal."

"Okay, alright lemme look through your closet and I'll find you the perfect outfit."

I nodded in response, she walked into closet and a few minutes later she came out with, light wash jeans, a white tank top, and a grey cardigan, and black and white vans.

"Omg it's super cute!" I exclaimed

"Haha I try, I try." She said flipping her hair. I grabbed the outfit and changed in the bathroom, I went over to my vanity and put on mascara, eyeliner, consealer, and white eyeshadow. Athena came over and side fishtailed my hair. She looked down at her phone and smiled then said,

"You look amazing, I hope you have a lot of fun on your date, but I have to go Matthew just texted me saying he wanted to hang out soo I love you and have fun." She hugged me and left. I started to get really nervous so to calm my nerves, I went on my phone I opened snapchat and took a picture In my mirror and captioned it

'Cant wait for tonight 💘😘'
I posted it to my story and locked my phone but then seconds later my phone dinged telling me I had a text so I looked at it seeing it was from Chris so I opened it,

From Chris😜: I'm going to come a little early if that's okay with you? 💘

To Chris😜:ya that's perfectly fine😘

From Chris😜: good I'll be there in 5 minutes 😘

I shook my head and laughed but then grabbed my purse and put my phone in my pocket, and ran down the stairs to see my mom about to leave for work,

"Hey mom I won't be home till like late tonight."

"And whys that?" She asked

"I'm going on a date with this kid Chris."

"Oo well I hope you have fun but I have to go to work love you bye."

"Love you too." Then she walked out the door, then I heard a knock at the door so I walked over to it and opened it to see Chris holding some flowers, and he looked so cute, he was wearing, tan khaki shorts, a blue button up and sperrys, with his hair jelled up in the front.

I grabbed the flowers, and thanked him, and I put them In a vase. I walked back over and gave him a hug,

"Are you ready babe?" Chris asked with a smile tugging at his pink plump lips.

"Yup" he laced his fingers into mine, and I used my other free hand and closed the door. We both walked over to his truck and he opened the passenger door for me,

"By the way you look beautiful tonight." He said with a wink, I blushed and said,

"Haha thanks, you don't look to bad yourself." He lightly laughed and closed the door and jogged over to his side and got in the drivers side starting the car and pulling out of my neighborhood .

"So where are we going?"

"Well, that's for me to know and you to find out." He took his hand and put it on my knee, I crossed my arms and huffed.

"Fine."

After about a 20 minute drive, we pulled up to an open field, I opened my phone to see it was 7:30 pm so it was starting to get dark,

Chris got out of the truck and opened my door for me, he helped me out, grabbed my hand, and we walked to the back of the truck and he grabbed a blanket and a basket, and we walked a little further into the field, and he layed the blanket out and put the basket down, and we both sat down.

"So tell me about your self." Chris said

"Um there's not much to tell haha."

"Fine then let's play 20 questions." I nodded in response,

"Soo I'll start, umm what's ur middle name?" He asked

"May, what's ur full name?" I asked

"Christopher James matthis, what sports do you play?"

"Basketball, and volleyball. How am any siblings do you have?"

"I have 2, an older brother names Liam who's 20, and a little sister named gabby and she's 7. How many siblings do you have?"

"Just 1 I have a twin brother Hayden, not sure if you know him."

"Oh Hayden is your brother?"

"Sadly yes haha."

"Ya he's pretty chill, do you want to eat know?"

I nodded and he grabbed the food out of the basket and we started eating. After we were done eating, we were lying on the blanket, cuddling and just talking it was perfect.

"Hazel...I know we haven't been talking long, but I've liked you for a really long time, and I'm not sure if you like me or not, but I think your the most perfectest more amazing, prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on and I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend?"

I was in so much shock, I looked at him and said,

"I would love to be your girlfriend."

"Haha I was hoping you'd say that."

We just kind of looked at eachother, and he started to lean in and his lips hovered over mine, like he was teasing me, so I grabbed his neck and connected our lips, I felt a little spark between us and I got butterflies in my stomach. I disconnected our lips and ran my fingers through his hair, and smiled, and smiled back.

I just got home a few hours ago, and I can't stop smiling, Chris is the cutest thing ever. I'm so happy that I can call him mine.
