The Other Half

San and Yeosang are mates but they feel like they are still missing the other half of themselves. San and Yeosang are werewolves and werewolves have mates, commonly werewolves have one mate but on some rare occasions they can have one or two more mates. Which is San and Yeosang's case, they have one other mate but they don't know who they are or where they are. Usually when werewolves turn 18 they can sense their mates but once they turn 30 those senses that help werewolves find their mates dissipate. They are then left with an empty feeling for the rest of their lives. San and Yeosang are scared that they won't find their other mate before they turn 30 for Yeosang was 21 and San 20. Yes they still had quite a few years left but it had already been 3 years and they where starting to loose hope of finding their other mate. At least until they meet him in an unsuspected way. 

Hyunjin is a stray werewolf, he has no mate. Ever since he turned 18 he hasn't been able to find his mate. He is now 20 and is starting to loose hope that he will ever meet his mate. He has no clue that he actually 2 mates out there who are also looking for him. 

It was an oddly cold night for the ATEEZ pack, they huddled close to their fireplace holding securely onto their mates for warmth and comfort. Yeosang was sat in San's lap cuddled into his chest with a buffalo pelt wrapped around them. Yeosang quietly starting to fall asleep in San's embrace. San looked down at his mate to see that he was almost asleep, San cooed at the adorable sight. "Sannie~" Yeosang whined. "Yes baby?" San asked pushing some strands of hair out of Yeosang's face. "I'm tired" Yeosang berried his face into San's chest more. "I know baby, do you wanna go to bed?" Yeosang nods. "Okay, i'll take you to bed" San says picking up Yeosang and getting up. "I'm taking Yeosang to bed" San lets the rest of the pack know. "You should go to bed as well Seonghwa, I don't want you getting exhausted" Hongjoong the leader of the pack says to his pregnant mate. "Ok" Seonghwa agrees and gets up and waddles toward the stairs to their room. San behind him with a sleeping Yeosang. 

When San reaches their room he lays Yeosang down on the bed and covers him with a quilt. San walks over to his dresser and grabs a pair of jogging pants and a t-shirt to change into. When he's changed he gets in bed with Yeosang and pulls him into his arms. Making sure to cover them both with the quilt. Once comfortable San finds himself starting to drift off to sleep. 

Lavender that was all that San could smell, he woke up to the strange smell. Lavender has never grown in the packs territory so San didn't understand why he was smelling it. He slowly got off the bed and headed towards the door. Before opening the door though he looks back towards his mate to see if he was still asleep which he was. Knowing that his mate was still asleep San slipped out the door and headed down the stairs. Once he reached the bottom he saw Hongjoong and Mingi standing looking at the door as if they where ready to attack at any moment. "What's going on?" San asks walking towards them. "Strays, their in our territory" Hongjoong growls out. "How many?" San tenses. "About 9" Mingi answers still not taking his eyes off the door. 

There was then a knock on the door and they all freeze. "Who is it?" San whispers to the other two. "A stray" Hongjoong straightens his back then walks over to the door. "Wait what are you doing" San yell whispers. But Hongjoong opens the door anyways, on the other side of the door stood 9 males. Some looking unhealthy and weak and two who where obviously pregnant. "Can we help you?" Hongjoong asks in a monotone voice. "We just need some shelter from the cold" One speaks up seeming like he was the leader. "What's your name?" Hongjoong questions. "I'm Bang Chan" they guy introduces himself. "Are you the leader?" Chan nods "Yes". "Very well, please come in" Hongjoong then steps to the side and lets them in and then guides them into the living room where the fireplace was so they could warm themselves up. "Would you like any food or water?" San asks concerned for the ones that where sick and pregnant. "Yes thank you, we would greatly appreciate it". San walks into the kitchen and grabbed some water bottles and some food then headed back and gave them all water and food. When he reached the one though he couldn't help but feel a pull towards the boy. It was a similar pull he felt when he discovered Yeosang as his mate. Was it possible that the boy was in fact their other half? their other mate? 

"Is there something on my face?" The said boy asks after noticing San's stare. "No sorry" San then went and stood beside Hongjoong who was currently talking to Chan. They learned that they where a stray pack called Stray Kids. Chan's mate was Seungmin and he was pregnant, the rest of the pack where Woojin and his mate Jeongin, Changbin and his mate Felix, Minho and his mate Jisung who was also pregnant and lastly Hyunjin who was the only one with no mate. 

"We have some spare rooms if you would like to stay the night"Hongjoong offered. "We couldn't possibly do that, you have already done so much" Chan tried to refuse. "Please stay the night and get a goodnight sleep, think about your weak and pregnant pack members" Hongjoong pushed. "Okay, thank you so much" Hongjoong and Mingi then showed them to the spare rooms and San headed back to his room to see that Yeosang was up. "oh your up baby" San then walked over to the bed and sat down on the side of the bed while Yeosang was sitting up. "What was going on downstairs? I heard a bunch of unfamiliar voices" Yeosang questioned. San then explained to Yeosang what happened and didn't forget to leave out the part about the boy that he thought might possibly be their other mate. "You really think it's him!?" Yeosang asks excitedly. San nods with a big smile, "Ya I really think he is". "I can't wait to see him" Yeosang gushes. "He might not know though so we have to be careful of what we do" San warns. "of course" Yeosang agrees. 

In the morning San and Yeosang head down to the kitchen to see a few of their pack members up and a few of the other packs members up. Once they where in the kitchen Yeosang was hit with the scent of Lavender. He looks over to San wondering if that was the smell that San was telling him about that waked San up. San noticed and nodded answering Yeosang's question. Yeosang then looked around the kitchen trying to pin point which person the scent was coming from then finally he found them. It was a handsome boy standing beside another who was pregnant. The boy was more then handsome he was gorgeous, he looked like a beautiful piece of art. Yeosang already felt himself starting to swoon for the boy. 

"Oh San, Yeosang you guys are awake" Seonghwa said after sensing the boys presence. "Do you need some help cooking" Yeosang asks shaking himself out of the little void he was previously in. He walks over and stood beside Seonghwa seeing what he was doing. "Sure, I would love some help". Yeosang then started to help Seonghwa while San sat at the table to wait for the food. 

After a couple minutes the food was finally ready and the rest of the members from both packs made their way to the kitchen. As they ate they had little conversations, learning about each other and sharing funny stories. After a while Yeosang decided to talk to the boy that San suspects to be their other mate. "How's the food?" Yeosang asks, the boy was just across the table from Yeosang. "It's really good" the boy smiled. "That's good to hear" Yeosang smiled back. San silently watched from beside Yeosang making sure that Yeosang didn't say anything that might scare the boy away. 

"Would you maybe like to go for a walk with me and San after breakfast?" Yeosang asks. The boy chokes on his food coughing at Yeosang's sudden request. Honestly Hyunjin was also feeling the strange pull that the other two where experiencing but he didn't know what it was for he had never experienced it before unlike San and Yeosang who have experience it. "S-sure" he agreed. 

After breakfast San, Yeosang and Hyunjin headed out for their walk. As they walked there was a unspoken tension between the three. Finally Yeosang decided to speak, "So.. whats your name?" Yeosang asks as they walk. "Hyunjin" the boy now Hyunjin replies. "I'm Yeosang and this is my mate San" Yeosang introduced themselves. "we met last night Sangie" San speaks up. "Oh ya, I forgot" Yeosang giggled. The giggle sent a wave of feelings throughout Hyunjin's body that he has never experienced. "Anyways nice to formally meet you" Yeosang then extended his hand out towards Hyunjin. Which Hyunjin accepts, once their hands locked a sensation went through their bodys. Yeosang recognized it as the same sensation he felt when he first touched San and found out they where mates. Yeosang's wolf also said 'mate' once they touched hands. Hyunjin experience the same strange sensation and didn't know what to think of it until his wolf screamed 'MATE'. They looked at each other and locked eyes, staring at each other. "Y-your my m-mate" Hyunjin stuttered out surprised but excited that he had finally found his mate but he still felt as if a piece was still missing. Then he remembered that San was also Yeosang's mate. Hyunjin turned to San looking at him. "Are we also mates?" Hyunjin asks. San nods and walks over to Hyunjin holding his other hand. The same experience that Hyunjin had with Yeosang happened again once San touched Hyunjin's hand. They had finally all found each other.
