Rainbow Heart

Chapter 9

"Jese that one was long," I say skimming the lines then I check the time it's only 4:55

Then I get a phone call from the contact name "Z mom" the Z was there to make her the last contact in my phone for some reason I answer it

"Hello ?" I ask

"When will you come home?" she asked but it wasn't my mom it was my little sister Jemmy she sweet voice made my heart melt with kindness and love

"Soon Jemmy soon, hey do you want to video call?"

"Yes can we?" she replied I could hear her jumping up and down so we video chat and talk for about an hour and twenty minutes and then I had to go to Avery's house for whatever reason so we say our goodbyes and I start walking I start to rationalize what could happen that she needed me, coincidently the same day I told her that I was basically disowned I walk and walk and when I get about half a block away from her house  I smell something it smelled like my favorite food steak so I keep walking I get to the front of her house and my eyes were covered by a bandana that was shoved on by two shadowy black figures they walk me up the front steps I could feel the stone walkway around me and I heard the oak wood door and I hear a faint soft countdown

"Three two one" the two figures which were Ivy and Jessi rip off the rainbow bandana then the next thing I see is two flags a pink yellow and blue flag (pansexual) a yellow wite purple and black flag (non-binary) and everyone has a rainbow flag cape we have an awesome party for a bit then everyone takes five steps back in a circle so me and Avery were just in the circle then she got on one knee and asked

"Harlow, will you be my" she stops for a second to think "my Joyfriend" I look at her dead in the eye

"Yes" "yes I will" the rest of the party is amazing we made jokes and watch Mulan  then people left little by little then it was just Avery me and her mom we started cleaning up

"We also ordered you a binder but it's coming on Friday"

my eyes start to tear up

"You, you did that for me?" I ask with a shaky voice

"Yeah I mean you are living with us right"

"I mean I guess wait what" I took a double-take

"Yeah we did up the guest room for you and on Saturday we can maybe go to the mall and get you some better clothes"

"Thank you thank you thank you" I squeal then give her a big hug. The rest of the week went normal we ended up going on Thursday to get new clothes Friday went on and everything was ok me and every walk up the next morning we go and get some breakfast we ended just walking to The Donut King I got a crueler and a fruit smoothie and she got a chocolate doughnut with a blue frosting pink sprinkles

"You know it's actually not busy for it being a Saturday morning," I say observingly

"Actually yeah your right" Avery responds we Finnish and walk home her mom was up by this point and told us to get dressed in our most colorful clothes so we both go to our rooms and change

"Oh and don't forget your pride flags " Avery's mom yells from the other room

"Okay" we both respond after we got dressed we both hopped in the car

"Hey I bought some extra care beaners to hold the flags" I semi whisper

"Thanks" Avery responded after we took a 20-minute car ride we entered central new york and I instantly knew where we were central new york on the first day in June with our pride flags we were at pride we started walking around we saw some people in drag and we saw some famous people to like Jessi page and Jonathan Van Ness and a few more I got all their signatures in my notebook. We also made signs Avery made one that said

"rights are not a pie if we get more you don't get less" I made one that said

"respect the pronouns, Karen!" witch me and Avery both laugh

At the end of the day, we drove back home and watched Rent and some Queer Eye
