'7 rings' by Ariana Grande blasted through my earphones as I bobbed my head to the beating, I looked through the window and saw that we had arrived.

I tucked my phone in my pocket and grabbed my bag beside me, the car takes a left and stops. I got out of the car and straightened my top, my bag was flung across my shoulder.

I stared at the building for a minute and walked forward, I pushed open the double doors and went in.

Inside was usually quiet, although you could hear the low voices of teachers in classes.

This was an art building and extremely quietness is needed for artists to concentrate.

"Felicity! You're here!" Diane exclaims once I walked in, all head turns to my direction and I wave at everyone. A couple of 'hey' and 'sup' was heard, I made my way to an empty artist easel which was at the back, luckily for me.

Seeing as everyone was preparing themselves, I came early. I brought out my art supplies and positioned them on the small wood in attached to the easel.

"Okay class!" Diane chirps, "Today were going to start our 'In The Moment' project I told you about, I hope you all have what to paint, sketch or draw?"

Cue a couple of 'yes'.

I already knew what I was going to paint/draw, it will be about a little girl staring at a cotton candy on her hands wiredly. Probably wondering...

'How is this made?'

I dabbed my paint brush in a the sky blue paint and start painting.

\\\\ 2 hours later\\\\

I wiped my mouth dry with my sleeve, I didn't know I could finish a whole bottle water due to painting. I threw the now empty bottle water in the washer bin just in time I heard my name, I turned and saw Diane standing at the door post of the class.

"Felicity, I would like to talk to you"

I nod and zipped close my bag, I was true with today's art and now was almost lunch time, I am very hungry.

Diane is what I could call a friend around here, even though she's older than me. She covers up for me in most of my classes so if she's telling me anything, it must be important.

With that thought, I walked up to her.

We walked past the hall and went into her office, she leaned on the desk and crosses her hands. I grip my bag handle in nervousness due to her wired stare, she always does this, wantimg to see my reaction before she tells me anything, and I bet it's bad.

"Felicity" she began, "You know about the Golden Art Awards Competition, right?"

Which artist in the whole country doesn't? It's like the biggest and hardest art competition that has ever lived, every artist wishes to be part of the competition even though the judges are tough cookies to impress. They host a big competition every year and thousands of artists sign up for the competition but only 30 people gets picked.

I've been wanting to enter ever since I  and you must be thinking 'your mom is damn rich, she can sneak in a spot for you', that's one thing about GAAC.

They don't take bribe, not matter how much you give them.

I nodded hastily, she smiles. "GAAC has choosen my art school to be part of their competition!"

No way!

"Yes way!" She gives me a paper, it was from GAAC and an invitation for a spot in the competition. I stare at it and hugged her, she taps my back. "Thanks"

I let go of her, "That's not all, they said I get to pick one student from my school to represent the school with a unique art made by that student"

Okay.....

"And..... I want that studentvto be you!" She claps her hands.

Hic.

Hic.

Hic.

Hic.

"Oh stop with those your cute hiccups" she lightly slaps my shoulders, I smile at her. I always hiccup whenever I hear a surprising or shocking news, it's more like a heredity than a habit. Though I don't know where it came from.

"Felicity" I look at her, "You'll do it right?"

Of freaking course!

I nod hastily and grinned, "That's my artist, now please start on it as soon as possible"

Why so soon?
The competition is on October, which is like, seven months to come.

She seems to get my question and replies, "I want you to start now so it will be the most wonderful art in that competition" I smiled, being with Diane means all smiles and laughter.

I nod, she takes back the invitation. "I'll keep this safe, you can go to your dorm, when you get home you can tell your mother about it." She pauses, "You must be hungry, the cafeteria is sharing dinner now"

Oh! The moment I've been waiting for!

I waved her bye and left her office, I went back to my art class and picked up my bag. The cafeteria is down the left while the dorms are right, you see this a boarding school of arts.

It's strictly boarding but I'm the only day student here, why? Because Diane and I are close friends. Why? Because when I was 4, I painted a picture of her and she loved it and me ever since, even more when I had that accident.
