Jessie laid on their bed with Abia nuzzled to his side sleeping soundly. She fell asleep few hours ago, but he couldn't. He felt the need to stay awake and he didn't doubt his feelings this time.

He kissed her head and stood up. She nuzzled to the covers instead of him. He walked outside the room and looked around. Libby's room was and remained the same - right across from theirs. He walked to her door and silently walked in.

She was awake too. She looked at him and stood up. "Can't sleep either, huh?" She whispered and walked closer.

"I have a feeling that safety of my wife isn't as good as I would like. I wanted to talk to you about that. I want you to sleep in our bed this night. I will stay up to guard - I can't sleep anyway." He proposed his idea to the table. She nodded without second thought and let him lead her back. She knew that he was her superior and she accepted it. "If your parents tell you to step away from Abia, make sure I approve first. They don't really like the person I became after I met her." He whispered and motioned for her to go lay to the bed with calmly sleeping female.

She looked at him. "With all the respect, Ripper, I'm not sure if your wife approved of me being there instead of you."

He nodded. "You're right, but I can be more useful from chair where they don't know about me than from bed where they can see me." He smiled with craziness shining in his eyes. Libby laid into the bed. Abia woke up seconds later when smell changed. Ripper stood by the bed. "It's okay, she's there to protect you. My command." Abia nodded and closed her eyes again.

He walked to his chair and watched the door. His eyes didn't move for 2 hours. Then the door started moving. His hand grabbed his knife and his eyes narrowed. He wanted to see who was coming to the room at such time.

It was mister Hunt and he had something unrecognizable I'm his hand. Ripper silently stood up and tightened his grip on the knife. "I'm sorry my child, but we need that merciless monster back under control." He whispered and aimed his gun at Abia.

Ripper walked behind him and pulled him away from the open door with knife by older's neck. "Little warning. Do you know what happens to human when you kill someone they love? They break, yes. But you won't get to see the person you wanted. Give me the gun and we can pretend that this never happened or don't and die." Ripper whispered. "Go on, keep it. My monstrous side wants to kill again and it will gladly take care of you." Ripper chuckled silently.

"My wife trained you pretty well, Ripper." Josh whispered with smile and turned the pistol to his shoulder. Right to the point where it would go through him and into Jessie's chest. "But she didn't tell you that to do in situations like this on-" he didn't get to finish the sentence. Knife in lower spine does that to people.

Mister Hunt slid to the floor. "My training goes beyond your wife's." Ripper whispered with grunt. "If you're lucky you may stand a chance against death." He took his superior by his collar and pulled him out of the room and between different two. He put the knife back to its place and decided to play hero again. "Doctor, now!" He called into the hallway. "Let's see what destiny has planned for you." He whispered.

Seconds later doctor was right beside them doing everything she could on the spot. "Help me get him to the medbay. He needs more than what I can give him here." Six guys picked him up without a word and carried him.

Jessie went back to Abia and found her standing. Tears were running down her face and her hands were shivering. One of the neighbors was standing behind her with knife at her throat again. "Put that thing down before you hurt her. Or you want everyone in this hallway to be dead within few minutes?" Ripper grunted.

"Mister Hunt said that if I kill her, I would become more important in here. That he would help me become another killer and he would get me better life inside this family." Boy said. His hands were shaking too - he never killed before.

Ripper scratched back of his neck. "Right now all I can assure you of is that he has more health issues. He may never be able to walk again, well if he survives." He heard steps behind him and he knew that someone was behind him watching and listening. "I saw the wound - if he's lucky he will die. If not then he will be in pain for the rest of his life."

"You did it to him. Don't pretend like you don't know what happened to him." Boy squeaked.

"I called for help. I wanted to help him. You are holding knife against my wife's neck and if you don't put it down, I will hurt someone tonight. I didn't kill anyone tonight, but I will if you don't put the knife down." Ripper said. He did his best to stay calm. "What did you do to Libby? Hurt her or killed her?" Boy looked at the bed and Ripper took his chance just like before.

He took the boy's knife and pushed him out of the room. Six other Hunters were there and they gladly took him away in belief that he hurt Josh. Jessie hugged his wife and squeezed her as tight as he could. "How many knifes will I have by my neck?" She asked with chuckle. "You keep saving me." She looked at him.

"Because I know how much I would lose along with you and I love you too much to let you go." He leaned his forehead against her. "I should teach you some defense moves." He chuckled.

"Check on her and then we can talk about my training, okay?" She chuckled.

He rolled his eyes. "That's one way to ruin a moment. But okay." He smiled at her and then checked Libby. "Well boy did good job keeping her quiet, but not good enough to actually hurt her. She'll wake up with headache and bruise, but it shouldn't be anything permanent."

"Okay then. How about we go to her room and we can both sleep this time? You should sleep too. You can't be my knight in shining armor if you're too tired to stay awake." Abia took his hand and pulled him out. He nodded and followed her. Nobody was out of their rooms anymore and lights were off again. They laid down to Libby's smaller bed - she was alone, she didn't need bigger bed.

He pulled her close to him and kissed her head. "Thank you for keeping the light inside me." He whispered.

She nuzzled closer to him. "And thank you for making me feel safe even in the scariest moments." She mumbled and closed her eyes. They had busy time and Jessie was ready to go to sleep.

Hey guys,

Alex is here again with few new chapters for you all. After this I'm going back to the old system - when something's ready, I will put it out for you, because some chapters are keeping others back and I feel like it's not good, so I'll be back with the old system and as little "proof" I am publishing 6 chapters instead of 5 because I managed to write 4 chapters here while writing 1 chapter in another book...

Thanks for reading and if you enjoyed it at least a bit don't forget to vote or tell me about it in the comments.
