6 girls one roof (Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony)

Christmas eve day

Today is Christmas Eve day. Nobody' snarly as excited as they usually would be for the holidays. We aren't aloud to go home this year. Management is giving us a few days after the album drops but between the shows and everything else it will be awhile before we can see our families.

I heard Ally talking on the phone in her room. We decided that we would all spend this morning with our families or on our own and we would spend tonight together doing a mix of everyones Christmas traditions. We didn't want to be a burden on our families tonight but we didn't want to spend the holidays completely without them so that was our compromise.

Demi shouted "everybody up and outside". I wonder what she wants? We don't have anything planned for this morning, we wanted some family time. I went downstairs and got on my hat and jacket. I put on my gloves and went outside. Only Demi was out there and she was in the drivers seat of the van.

I got into the passenger seat and bulked up my seat belt. There was two tarps folded behind the second row of seats. Demi turned on the radio while we waited for everyone else. They all came one by one over the next few minutes. They bulked themselves up and Demi pulled out of the driveway.

Dinah said "where are we going". Demi responded "to the tree place". Camila said getting excited "are we getting a Christmas tree". Demi nodded. Everyone was quiet on the rest of the trip to the Christmas tree place even though the excited energy was vibrating through the car.

We stopped in a parking lot and got out. Demi found a man whe seemed to work there and asked "hello, could you tell us where we can find a 8 foot tall pine tree". The man gave her the instructions while he pointed and Demi nodded ever so often. She walked over to us a started to guide us through the thinned tree waiting place.

She stopped at a tall tree. She held it up so we could get a better look at the body of the tree. The branches were full and it was the right size so Demi sent Normani to find the man. Normani returned and the man brought the tree to our car. Demi opened the trunk and the man slid it in. The tarps had been laid out so that the sap didn't get all over the car.

Demi left with the man after telling us to get in. Dinah beat me to the front seat this time so I opened up a door to the back. Now that the tree was in the back was muck more crowded than before. I sat in a seat before it was taken too. Camila ended up on my lap and Normani had Ally on her lap. Demi came in and smirked when she saw the state we were in. She had the drivers seat to herself, not that anyone should be in the drivers seat with her.

The car ride passed quickly and almost silently, a strange thing for us but then again, everyone was feeling more homesick than usual. We went inside after we bringing the tree along with us. We didn't think the whole thing through because we hadn't gotten out a stand yet. Demi went downstairs and brought up a green tree stand.

We put the tree in and started to centre it. Ally was in charge of letting us know when we had it right. She said "no a little to the left. Now a little more. No, too muck go right just a smidge. Move towards the wall. Yes right there hold it. Perfect". Camila tightened the bolts on one side while Demi did the other. We let go and the tree stayed right where it was supposed to.

Demi said "decorating time". We all looked at her. We don't have any decorations. She said answering our unspoken question "downstairs come on I'll show you". We followed her and sure enough there was bags and boxes in a pile filled with everything we could ever need for decorating our tree.

We each grabbed a box or a bag and brought them upstairs. We cracked open a cardboard box containing strings of beads and some decorations. We pulled out the beads and strung them around the tree in a escalating manner. Once we finished the beads the house already looked more festive. Christmas music started to play, we all looked at Ally holding her phone. She said "well you can't decorate a tree without music". We all smiled and sing along as we unpacked the boxes and decorated the house.

A/N sorry I haven't been updating much, on any of my stories and I don't have an excuse but here is this chapter and I have some more ideas surrounding Christmas. I'm sorry if you don't celebrate Christmas but it's the holiday that my family celebrates and I don't know how very many other winter holidays work. I also think most of fifth harmony and maybe Demi celebrate Christmas so I thought it fit. On a different note, there is a poll going on for guessing the biggest breakthrough artist of 2015 and fifth harmony is in it so vote. The artist who wins gets lots of publicity in Australia.
