chapter 13

Same night at the party

Everyone's having fun at the party and dances to the music. Little kids were on the stage dancing as well as everyone watches them. The dance competition already started a few minutes ago and Kenzie is stressing out about her performance.

Johnny was going around with a big bottle of alcohol to give everyone a little shot.

''Come on, not so shy!'', he says to a random girl, pouring the liquid in her mouth.

Kenzie comes down the stairs to where they were. He spots her as he smiles and goes over to her.

''Come here, beautiful, take a sip!'', he tries to pour it in her mouth as she backs away.

''Ah no, I don't drink stuff like that!'', she says.

''Come on, just one sip!'', he pours it in a shot glass handing it to Kenzie as she accepts it.

Then they hear a voice coming from up the stairs. ''Oh, Johnny!'', someone calls as they both look to that direction.

Nadia walks down the stairs and goes to Johnny giving him a tight hug. Kenzie watches them scrunching her eyebrows weird.

She releases him and turns to Kenzie. ''Oh good, that's exactly what I need right now.'', she says taking the shot glass from Kenzie's hand and drinking it. She twitched a little bit and looks at Kenzie again. ''I wish you, uh, good luck.'', she says giving Johnny one last wink before she leaves.

''Apparently she thinks that you're going to get married!'', Johnny laughed. Kenzie still looks at him weird as he gives her a confused look noticing it.

''Why are you standing there and staring at me dumb!? I have to focus!'', she says as she turns to everyone who was dancing already, going down the rest of the stairs.

Johnny stops her. ''Uh, my glass.'', he says as she looks up to him and gives him the shot glass annoyed leaving again.

Asher was backstage practicing his performance nervously. He's trying everything to impress Annie tonight. Everything has to go perfect.

Johnny comes in and watches him freaking out. ''Hey.''

Asher turned around and smiled nervously. ''Heeyy.''

''Is everthing alright?'', Johnny asked.

''Oh, yes. No, I just hope that Annie will like my little dance. I can do this, right?''

''You don't have a contagious disease.'', Johnny says still holding the bottle in his hand.

Asher looked at him confused and nervous for a second. He laughed it off thinking it was a joke. ''Eh. Ah, funny, that was a good one.'', he laughs nervously. ''Johnny, thank you. Thank you again for coming. It means everything to me and Annie and our family-''

''Here, take it.'', Johnny interrupts him pouring something in the shot glass.

''Oh, no, I shouldn't.'', he refuses.

''Come on, drink a little bit.'', he says holding the glass in front of him.

Then they hear the announcer. ''Let's come to the most special dance of the night! The performance of the groom! And his sexy and stunning cousin Nadia!''

Asher eyes widened as he quickly grabs the bottle out of Johnny's hand, takes the lid off and drinks it completely.

''Wait-'', Johnny tried to stop him. He watches Asher drinking to see what happens. ''Leave something for me.''

Then the music starts playing and Nadia stands on the stage looking for Asher. He looks at Johnny, hugs him and gives him a kiss on the cheek before leaving to go on stage.

He jumps on stage falling. ''Asher!'', Nadia says.

Annie comes out of the crowd and watches him as her eyes widen.

Johnny goes over to Kenzie who was watching them as well and leans his arm on her shoulder.

Asher takes his jacket off and throws it into the crowd. He goes over to some old lady and takes her scarf to dance with it and Nadia.

Kenzie smirks thinking his dance performance is going to be a flop as her and Johnny exchange looks.

Then Asher really starts dancing to the music. As drunk as he was he danced without worrying. Everyone hypes them and clap and Annie smiles.

As Kenzie sees everyone liking it her smirk fades quickly. She looks mad at Johnny who was watching them with a smile.

''You're doing great!'', he screams holding his arm up. Kenzie quickly pulls his arm down annoyed.

Then the dance ends and everyone claps and screams loud.

''You said he was just fidgeting around!'', Kenzie exclaims to Johnny.

''Well, he was.''

''No! That wasn't fidgeting, that was impressive.'', she says frustrated.

''I know, he was fantastic.'', Johnny admits.

''Who will care about me now!?'', she pouts. She really wanted her performance to be the best. And Asher really went out there and killed it. She would've never thought that.

''Karan Johar!'', he jokes as she glares at him.

''I wanted to be the best so bad.'', she says sulking, looking back to the stage. Johnny looks at her for a second.

''You really want to win so bad?'' She nods. ''Then I'll help you.'', he says.

''You!? How do you imagine that?'', she says not believing him.

''Hey, did you forget? I have a lot of hidden talents. You just have to hold your skirt, incase it slips.'', he says coming closer. She smiles as he does too. ''Come on, we'll show them.'', he says.

''Next we have the breathtaking, entracing-'', the announcer says before getting interrupted by the lights turning off. ''-Kenzie?''

Then the lights turn on where Johnny stands and starts to dance. Then Kenzie comes and dances too. They sang and danced together as they went off the stage for more people to join them.

Annie and Asher watched smiling and clapping the whole time. Even Hayden watched them smiling.

Johnny went over to Asher and Annie and pulled them to dancing as Kenzie did the same with Hayden. Everyone danced and sang and enjoyed the whole night.

Johnny and Hayden looked at each other in the middle of the crowd and embraced each other in a hug. They both missed each other very much but wouldn't admit it. Finally they were on good terms again.

After their great performance everyone clapped again and screamed loud.
