Alvin woke to a great start, without any alarm clock telling him what to do. It was 8:00. He decided to hum a song that he, his brothers, and the girls had covered on their latest album. It was called The Weekend. And it suited them perfectly right now.
A bit after Alvin, Simon and Theodore woke up. They both glanced at their alarm clocks and remembered that they would have to visit Dave at the hospital at 11:00.
Alvin and Simon watched a few morning cartoons, but they didn't agree on which one they both wanted to watch.
"What? Simon! Why did you change the channel?" asked Alvin.
"I'd like to watch The Cats Purring," Simon explained to his brother Alvin. "That's why I changed the channel!"
"Gimme that back!"
"No, Alvin."
"Simon, you know what?"
"No, I don't know what."
"I miss having fights like this."
Simon had a weird expression on his face. He was confused.
Alvin decided to explain a bit more. "I miss having fights like this. We've been so busy working that we haven't been having so much family time anymore."
Simon was still a bit shocked. "Wow." After hearing that, he decided to give Alvin the remote without thinking. Even if it was a bit silly, he was shocked that Alvin would say such a thing!
"Ha!" Alvin turned to the TV and went back to the channel he'd like to watch.
Simon sighed and plopped back on the couch beside Alvin. Even if they didn't want to watch the cartoon at first, they enjoyed it because they were together for a bit.
2 hours and 35 minutes later...
Brittany was applying some makeup. No matter where she went, she had a requirement for herself to wear makeup. Her sisters were confused. Why would someone want to wear so much makeup when you inhale so much of it?
And the worst thing about weekends is that Brittany sleeps in until 10:00. It took her 20 minutes to take a shower. 7 more dry her hair. 3 minutes to put on her clothes. Now she was doing her makeup which usually took her 5 minutes.
"Brittany! We're going to be late!" Eleanor yelled from downstairs. "We're also getting Blizzards from DQ!"
Brittany rolled her eyes. "Be patient, Eleanor!"
After what seemed like forever, they finally got on their scooters and went to Dairy Queen.
