Clint Barton's POV
A girl slunk through the alleys behind the Avengers Tower. A violin strung across her back like a sword or a gun. Her dress seemed too nice to just be casual. This girl had to be up to something. Did I know what she was doing? No, I just thought she was a harmless little girl. Oh how wrong I was. I should have known she was trouble. I was sitting on the building overs fire escape reorganizing my arrows. I kept one eye on her as I worked. She would stop here and there to peer in a window or look in a vent. The sound of a trash can falling in another ally caught my attention. When I turned back to the girl she was gone.
Minuet's POV
I could feel the mans eyes on me. As long as he was watching I couldn't attempt to sneak in. A loud crash from another ally diverted his attention. I took the distraction as a chance to sneak in. I had already been toying with one of the vents so immediately slipped inside. I crawled through the vents with ease. It amazes me that no one had thought to secure them. Oh well, they'll pay for that mistake. I managed to find a vent that lead straight up. As I shimmed up I thought I heard a noise below me. But when I looked down there was no one there. It didn't take long for me to reach the top. I had way too much practice. After looking through all the vents in this hall I concluded that this must be where the Avengers sleep, meaning this is where all the money is. I dropped soundlessly out of the vents into a room that didn't look occupied. This was going to be fun.
Clint Barton's POV
When I saw the girl was gone I swore under my breath. I descended the fire escape as fast as I could. When I reached the alley I noticed one of the vents leaning against the wall. Of course she took the vents. I scrambled in after her just in time to see her start to shimmy up the vent that lead to the top of the tower. I was good in the vents but she was obviously way faster than me. I got out and ran to the front of the building. I yanked the door open and rushed in. I was halfway across the lobby when I ran right into Agent Blaze. "Watch where you're going! I'm walking here!" Blaze had become known for her short temper and her constant sarcasm. She was also known for being Loki's ex girlfriend. She broke up with him because she couldn't stand the stress. Whatever that meant. Although most of us knew she broke up with him once she found out she was pregnant. She never wanted kids. She in fact hates kids. She glared at me. "Well? What's your excuse? Let me guess, someone is trying to brake in? Because I told you a million times that Loki can shape-shift so just because you don't recognize the person doesn't mean they don't belong here." I rolled my eyes.
"I know it's not Loki because they came from outside, they were female, and they had a violin. As far as I know Loki doesn't own a dress or a violin."
Blaze opened her mouth and then closed it.
"Where is everyone? Is anyone upstairs?" I started to inch towards the elevator.
"No, everyone is out."
"Where?"
"Steve, Sam, and Bucky went out for a jog, Tony and Bruce said something about a science demonstration, Natasha and Pepper are out shopping, Thor is on a date with Jane, and Loki, Wanda, and Vision said something about a Harry Potter convention."
"A Harry Potter convention?" I asked skeptically.
Blaze shrugged.
"Don't ask me."
"Well call them all in."
"Why?"
"Because she could be dangerous, she could be working for someone, or she could be here to kill us. I would feel better if I had backup."
"Fine. I'll let Fury know."
"Hurry!"
"I know!" She stuck her tongue out at me.
I rolled my eyes at her and pulled out my phone. They would probably listen to Fury more than me but it was worth a shot.Minuet's POV
Each room was set up more or less the same. Which made finding the valuables way more easy. One room had all sorts of patriotic posters and slogans on the walls. There was only three dollars hidden under the bed. Another room had this huge safe in the closet. That had over three thousand dollars in it. In one room there was a hammer laying on a trunk at the end of the bed. It seemed like a pointless way to keep out theives. I picked up the hammer and studied it. It seemed to have old Norse runes all over it and they seemed to be moving. How strange. I threw the hammer on the bed and opened the crate. There was nothing of any importance in it. Which was very disappointing. I put the hammer back where I found it and went to the next room. As soon as I stepped into the hallway I immediately stiffened. Someone was watching me. I wheeled around and grabbed my violin, and came face to face with the Avengers.
