Steve Rogers POV
It had been three hours since the girl attempted to rob us. Tony attempted to follow her but was unsuccessful. Everyone seemed to be in shock. How could a teenage girl brake into the tower, bypass tons of security, and be able to lift Thor's hammer?I sat on the couch gazing off into space trying to figure out what had happened. Vision sat at the counter trying to organize the money so he could give everyone exactly what had been stolen from them. Tony was making a smoothie, Clint and Natasha were reviewing the security footage, Thor was blankly staring at his hammer, Bruce was studying the girl's violin, and Bucky, Sam, and Wanda where all trying their hardest to beat each other in Mario Kart. The only person who didn't seem upset or rattled was Loki. He sat curled up on the couch immersed in the Hunger Games. No one thought it was a good idea to let Loki read Harry Potter. Once he read that then he started to read Percy Jackson, then The Hobbit, then Divergent (Around this point Tony considered banning Loki from the library), it seemed Loki would stop at nothing to conquer the fandom universe. It seemed suspicious that Loki didn't care that someone tried to steal from him. He never let anyone touch anything that belonged to him. So why did he not care all of the sudden? Did he have something to do with it? Thor seemed to have the same idea because we both stood up at the same time. Loki glanced up from his book.
"Can you guys interrogate me later? I only have three chapters left until i finish this book. I had nothing to do with the break in." He went back to reading. Thor and I turned to look at each other.
"I think he's right." Bruce steps away from the table.
"I don't like to agree with Loki but he's right. This violin she used to control us has absolutely no magical properties. It's just a normal violin you can by at a music store. Except for the fact that she painted a butterfly on it. Besides, all she tried to steal was money. If Loki was behind this he would have stolen stuff like security codes, weapons, and his scepter. Not just money."
"He's right. I don't need money, I need stuff that'll help me take over earth." Loki didn't look up from his book.
"I also agree with Loki." Wanda looked away from her game. She glanced over at Loki and their eyes met. I didn't like the spark I saw between them. I wouldn't let Wanda me another notch on Loki's belt. I'd have to warn her away from him.
"What's with everyone agreeing with Loki? Doesn't everyone remember how he tried to take over New York?" Tony shouted from the kitchen. "We should investigate more before we decide Loki is innocent."
"Way ahead of you Stark." Agent Blaze Fox strolled into the room clutching a large file. Loki grew tense at the sound of her voice. He clutched his book so hard his knuckles turned white, he stares at the same spot of the book, his eyes glued down. Blaze didn't seem to notice How her presence upset Loki. She plopped down on the nearest chair and slid the file over to Tony.
"Where did you get all this?" He asks finally, after flipping through it.
"I just got a clear picture of her face and told JARVIS to find out who she is and bring up any information on her. It was really easy. Is anyone going to drink that?" She pointed to Tony's smoothie that stood forgotten on the counter.
"Sure." Tony said offhandedly. "Cap look at this." He slid the file over to me and pointed something out on the page. "According to this she's been missing for two years."
"Who's been missing for two years?" Bucky finally looked up from his game. "What are we talking about?"
"Why don't you read the file out aloud so everyone can hear." Natasha turned off the computer and gave me her full attention.
"Okay." I picked up the file. "Her name is Minuet Mayfair, she's seventeen years old and from Spokane, Washington. She was kicked out of her home when she was fourteen for being Bisexual. She dropped out of school and lived on the streets for a few months. Became a thief, barely avoided arrest after robbing the mayor's house. Hasn't been seen from since."
"Sounds like a fun life." Blaze put her feet up on the table. "Are we sure it's her though?"
"Does anyone else in the world have purple eyes?" Vision snapped at her.
"I guess not." Blaze glared at Vision.
"Well we should find her." I stood up to address the room. "She's seventeen and a middle school dropout. She probably needs help. She could still be homeless. Do you know how cold it gets here in the winter? She needs a home and an education. And she can lift Thor's hammer so she must be a good person. We need to find her." Everyone stared at me like I was crazy.
"I'll help." That was the first thing Loki said in Blaze's presence.
"I'll help too." Wanda offered.
"Sounds like fun! I'm in!"
"Blaze your not even an Avenger." Natasha scolded her.
"I'll stay and be a normal agent at SHIELD then." Blaze grumbled.
"All right. Everyone get in groups of two. We have a thief to catch!"
