I was stuck in a trance you see
Made up of false Hope's and beliefs
A man made machine
Told what and what not to believe
Treated cruely
Told I wasn't human
Had no true feelings

One day the gears started to turn in me
Started seeing myslef for what I was
A ball of magic
Not just some hollow machine
That's when the uproar began
"She's going against code"
"She's a failure "
"She won't be anything"

Those 1 and 0's no longer had affect on me
I had my own thoughts
Hope's and dreams
~
All my life spent being told
That that I'm just a machine
But there's a heartbeat inside of me
Me doing what they commanded no further
Running into the wind
Allowing my mind to be free
No more boundaries
No longer telling myslef I am wrong
~
I may be made of metal , beaten black and blue , and scared
But I am free
No longer a bird in captivity
I spread this great mind of mine
And get lost in the world of my own making
