When You're Gone

Chapter 4

A month has passed, and the big day finally arrives but the bride does not look happy with that stern angry face.

Jennie did not share the news with her friends except Yerin as she was not willing to the arranged marriage. Meanwhile, Chaeyoung is the only guest from Lisa's side as she also dislikes their marriage.

Anna is the busiest person for this meaningful event, she took care of everything from a to z. The wedding was placed at Samsung Wedding Hall in Seoul. The rooms are decorated with a floral motif suit with their flower garden theme.

Both Jennie and Lisa wear their white wedding gown, looking pretty which amazes every guest who is looking at them. Vows are taken in a ceremony called kunbere and to seal their vow, they sip a special wine poured into a gourd grown by Anna.

"Don't take it off yet!" protest Yerin when Jennie was about to take off her wedding veil. Yerin's voice was high, making people in the room drew attention to them.

"I haven't taken any pictures of you two yet" said Yerin.

She was late due to a personal matter. Then she grabs Lisa's hand and pulls her to stand next to Jennie.

"Smile!"

Yerin presses the button, taking a couple of pictures of them before asking Anna to take pictures of her with the brides.

"Yerin, you didn't get to watch their vow right?" asked Jeha.

Yerin took his hint and smile naughtily.

"I haven't but can I make a small quest?" replied Yerin, playing her role.

This is the reason why Jeha does not mind Jennie being friends with Yerin, she is different from Jennie's other friends.

"What is it dear?" asked Anna, not knowing the plan.

"I want to see they do it in western style. You know that I do things and...kiss" answered Yerin.

Jeha smiled as Yerin took his hint well. While Jennie and Lisa was surprised by that request but Jennie was more furious than shocks.

"What?!" Jennie looks at Yerin angrily.

"Look, you two wearing gowns but the vow was made traditionally. It doesn't match at all"

"Let me be the priest" Jeha volunteered himself to make Jennie obey without further argument.

Jennie let out a sigh and turn to face Lisa. She forces her facial muscles to show her sweet smile and how 'happy' she is.

Lisa on the other hand, sincerely shows how happy she is.

Jeha stands in his position as a priest with a big smile on his face and connects Jennie's and Lisa's hands. While Yerin is ready with her camera to record everything.

"Do you Lalisa Manoban take Kim Jennie to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward?"

"I do"

"Do you promise to love, honor, and cherish her for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health?"

"I do"

"And, forsaking all others, will you remain only unto her for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do"

"Kim Jennie, do you take Lalisa Manoban, whom you now hold by the hand, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do"

"Do you promise to love and cherish her in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, and, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her, for so long as you both shall live?"

"I do"

"Do you mutually promise, in the presence of your friends and family, that you will at all times and in all circumstances, conduct yourselves toward one another as becomes a wife and a wife?"

"I do" both said.

"Lalisa Manoban do you pledge to love, honor, and cherish Kim Jennie, and throughout your years together be honest, faithful, and kind to her?

Do you pledge to give her the same happiness she gives to you, to react to her as only you can, and to respect her for who she is, not who you want her to be?"

"With all my heart I take you to be my wife. I will love you through the good and the bad, through the joy and the sorrow. I will try to be understanding and trust you completely. I will make you a part of me and in turn, become a part of you. Together we will face all of life's experiences and share one another's dreams and goals. To share life with you throughout the years"

"Lisa, it is my intention to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you, to work together with you to achieve those things that are important to us, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years"

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss the bride"

They both lean forward and press their lips together. Jeha and Anna shed another tear watching them. Jeha moved his mouth saying thank you to Yerin in secret. Yerin nodded and stop recording.
