Danielle's POV
I slept until 5:39am because mom decided we should get an early start. Ha, early start my a*s.
I dragged myself out of bed, and downstairs into the bathroom.
I took a shower, put on a purple tee and some skinny jeans, and did my makeup.
When I went in the kitchen mom was making breakfast. I sat down in one of the chairs at the table.
"Hey honey, sleep well?", mom asked when she heard me sit.
"No. Mom why I just go live with Jason and Maggie? Their mom will be happy to have me.", I whined. Jason and Maggie were my best friends back in New York.
"We've been through this at least twelve times, Danielle Marie Scott, you are living here with me, not with some yahoo's in New York.", she snapped.
Now there is something you should know about my mom. She's always nice and smiley, and sometimes it's just creepy. So for her to snap at me is foreign. She's been doing it a lot since dad left.
He walked out one day and he said he would never come back. I guess he was serious that time.
~Flashback~
I was nine years old and mom and daddy were fighting a lot. Daddy would come home from work and start stuff with mom. He started yelling and then the screaming war was on.
I would hide in my room until the end. Then I would sit at the top if the stairs and listen. Daddy would pull on his jacket, and continue yelling.
"I'm f*****g leaving Maria! I'm never coming back!", he screamed slamming the door. Mom went to her room and cried, like always, but no matter how much they fought and yelled, daddy would always come back and they would get along for a few days.
I stayed up all night waiting for daddy to sneak in through the back door and lay on the couch. But he never did. He never came back, not even for his stuff.
~End Flashback~
I grabbed an apple and went out to the car. Mom insisted on driving me since it's my first day.
When we got to parking lot mom patted my knee and smiled.
"Have a good first day sweetie. I'll be here at 3:00. I love you."
I waved and closed the door, watching as my mom drove out of the parking lot.
