"what you mean you pregnant?" mike asked me as i held the test behind my back.

"mike i—

"i'm not mad Arianna. i just wish i could've know from you throwing up and everything but. you had sex with Chris?" he asked.

"yes. that's my boyfriend. and he loves me. but how am i supposed to go to school?" i asked.

"we finna have you homeschooled." mike said and got his keys to drive and left.

chris was a badkid and all but it was his mom he needed to worry about.

chris grabbed some money and held my hand as we walked outside.

"so you pregnant.. ain't that something?" mark asked.

"mane back up off my sister and her relationship. you always bugging. wasn't you just f*cking with gracie behind jacob back.?" paisley asked.

"mane can y'all stop arguing please? i gotta see how many months i am." i said as me and chris left out the house.

"congratulations ms. la'nae. you are 4 months pregnant." the doctor said and i gasped.

"i been going on 4 months thinking i'm just big but i have a child." i said.

i started to tear up. i'm not even financially ready for no child but i have mike and jaliyah i guess.

"my birthday is in 2 weeks so maybe i could announce it—

"we have to stop by my moms house. i need to tell her this now." chris said and we nodded before doing some other things.

"boy get to the dam point. people ain't got all day." she said pulling out a cigarette.

"AYE! put the cigarette down and listen!" chris demanded and she jumped before putting it down.

"my girlfriend. arianna. i took her virginity and now she's pregnant." he said.

"get out my house and don't come back. go pack your sh*t and i don't wanna hear from you." she said and he got up and went upstairs.

jaliyah sent a blow to her mouth before her mouth started leaking with blood.

"WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A 15 YEAR OLD!" jaliyah yelled as his mom yelled.

i just cried and ran out the house. this is too much pressure and everybody making it more hard on me.

i was in my room eating some mint ice cream and watching Big Mouth.

"ian watched dis in a minute." i said and continued eating the ice cream.

"hey sis how you doing?" paisley and macei asked coming in my room.

chris was sleep on my shoulder and his hand rested on my stomach as i ate the ice cream.

"it's kind of sad knowing that his mom would say that. when i first met her, she gave off a good vibe but today was—

i got cut off by chris's phone vibrating.

i stopped eating the ice cream since i only took about 10 bites.

paisley, macei, harmony, kam, and mirah said they weren't gone let me do anything and they were gone help me on this journey.

"bae, go to sleep." chris said in a raspy voice and got up and cut the light off then got back in the bed.

wonder how much of a journey this gone be.
