Yet another day at school begins.

Classes have already started and Alison has yet to arrive.

A ball of crushed paper hits Macy at the back of her head. She turns around with a blood-red flare in her eyes only to see Shinko gesturing her to read the paper.

“Do you think something happened to her yesterday?”

Macy discards the note before taking out a fresh page and penning a response. After almost 10 minutes of endless writing, she reaches into her bag and pulls out an envelope and wax stamp. She carefully folds her response and fits it into the envelope, using the wax stamp to seal it.

Shinko face-palms himself.

She gets up from her seat and personally delivers the letter response to Shinko. His name, class, row number and seat number are readily imprinted onto the envelope.

She returns to her seat to continue class.
Carefully digging away at the wax, Shinko opens the envelope.

“Dear Shinko,
I am currently unaware of the details pertaining to Alison’s actions from yesterday and how they might have affected her punctuality today. I understand your distress and concern and apologize on her behalf for any inconvenience it may have caused you.

Sincerely,
Macy Da'Silva”

The note read.

He chuckles silently, putting the note back into the envelope and dropping it in his bag.

The class ends and the two make their way to the next. In the hallway, as they pass the teachers’ lounge, they barely manage to make out a voice coming from behind the door.

“What do you mean he’s not here yet? What time will he be here?”

A girl steps out, her sharp eyebrows arched, and glossy red lips pouted in frustration.

Shinko and Macy look at her, shocked to their core.
“Alison?!” they exclaim.

“Oh hi loves!” her cheeks rosy pink and hair loosely curled.

“Sorry I’m late.” She wore a skirt, shorter than her usual and her chest looked fuller than before. Her nails an inch long, painted scarlet to match her lips.

“What did I miss?”

“What did you miss?! WHAT DID WE MISS!?” Shinko exclaims.

“I don’t wanna talk about it,” she rubs her shoulders.

“Oh, is it that bad-”

“ANYWAY, how was your guys’ practice yesterday?” she continues, cutting Shinko off.

“Non-existent, we’ll be starting from today. I had to inform my parents.” Macy replied.

“So, are we all set for today, senpai?” Shinko asks, winking flirtatiously at Macy.

“Sadly, yes.” She responds.

Alison smiles, looking at Macy and Shinko bicker with each other.

The school day goes by quickly and as usual -if you discount Alison getting dress coded.

She spends the final period in detention, unsupervised. A perfect opportunity to nap.

Alison finds herself waking up to an empty classroom. Her eyes turn to the clock, 3:45 pm, a whole 15 minutes past the bell she slept through.

She scours the room and sees that Macy and Shinko’s bags are still there.

She narrows her eyes and creases her forehead in confusion, still brushing off the little drowsiness left in her. She rubs her eyes open only to see a note stomped beneath a book on her desk.
