Jimin's POV:

When I woke up the next morning, the bed was cold. The space on the bed next to me was empty, and the room was dead quiet. Taehyung had gone out.

The room was cold, I got out of bed and cursed once my bare feet touched the floor. I turned on the AC, and took some socks from the suitcase.

It was a while later, only after when I had dressed and took the burner phone that Taehyung had left on the table, did I realize that it was Christmas eve.

It was still early in the morning, so my parents and brother wouldn't be having breakfast yet. They are all probably still sleeping. Had I stayed at home, I would be spending the holidays with my family, and yet here I was all alone in a cold motel room with not even coffee to drink.

"Hello?", my younger brother's groggy voice could be heard over the other line.

"Good morning, sunshine."

"Hyung! How are you? Mom and dad are going crazy over here.", he was certainly awake now.

"I'm fine. I'm sorry for ruining the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas Eve."

"What Christmas eve? I don't think we'll be celebrating this year... but I don't care! As long as you're happy, Hyung.", I couldn't think of how everything turned out. The outcome for leaving them wasn't supposed to be this bad. I wasn't supposed to feel this guilty.

"Speaking of mom and dad... how are they?"

"I don't know.", he yawned. "You should be more careful. You're lucky I went into your room first, and was the one to find that picture of you and your boyfriend.", he said the word 'boyfriend' in a hushed voice.

"Picture? A Halloween one?"

"Yes! It looked like it fell. I found it by the corner of your bed. Don't worry Hyung, I'm hiding it in my room.", I couldn't help but crack a smile. Sweet Jungkookie who wouldn't be getting a proper Christmas and yet he still cared about what happened to me.

"Thank you, but I honestly don't care if they found out at this point.", and it was true. I wasn't living with them anymore, and I would probably never return back, so what was the point of hiding?

"Don't say that, Hyung! I actually think they will let you off the hook. Still, you need to call them some time these days, and talk to them. I heard them talking but I didn't get everything. So, don't say something that would make them change their minds.", crazy how the thought of me having a boyfriend would be more appalling to them than me actually leaving. Maybe if they knew they would stop caring and actually stop bothering.

Still, I couldn't take the chances, and the thought of my parents not talking to me because I have a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend still hurt as much as it always did.

It was a sad world we lived in, and it was an even sadder society. None of that would matter in the future though.

"Really?", that was easier than I thought. "Listen, Jungkookie, I got to go, but I promise to call them. Thanks again.", I stood up to get some of the bags that Taehyung was holding. The front door of the room opening brough in cold air, making the room even more unbearable.

"Holy fuck, it's freezing outside. Is the AC even fucking on?", he pecked me the lips quickly before closing the door behind him.

"Your face is cold. Quickly, go warm yourself.", there was handful of groceries in the bags. He had gotten up extra early and went to buy food.

"Were you on the phone with your brother?", he started taking his boots and coat off. "Also, since there is no fridge, I bought almost all things that are in packs and won't go bad."

"Yeah, that was him. He said my parents will most likely let me off the hook, I just need to call them soon.", he came over to where I was standing and started helping me take the food out of the bags.

"That's great. I told you there was nothing for you to worry about."

"How did you even find an open store?"

"Oh, that's right, it's Christmas eve. I'm sorry you'll have to spend your Christmas cooped up here with me."

"It's because I'll be cooped up here with you that I'm happy."

"Since my family never really celebrated Christmas, I don't know what you want to do tomorrow."

"We don't have to do anything.", I shrugged. "We can just stay in bed, watch TV and eat food."

"Christmas Day sex, nice."

"Pervert!" I snickered. "Is that all you think about?", I couldn't be annoyed with him even if I tried to.

Now that we were actually on our own, in a town which name I didn't even know, I truly knew that it would always be just him and me. No one else.

A/N: everyone repeat after me: JK best boy.
