The view from the top of the mountaineer looked absolutely breathtaking, a strong gust of wind blew against them as they looked at the view, Alex had wanted to explore the city before they had left and Elijah had tagged along, not wanting her to experience it alone, but in reality, he was planning on doing something completely different once they reached the top.

"Would you follow me to the ends of the earth?" Alex suddenly breaks the silence between them, Elijah turns his gaze away from the view to look at her.

"I'll go anywhere you want me to go, Alex," Elijah says, she nods her head as a faint smile forms on her lips.

"That's good to hear," Alex says, Elijah takes a step away from the edge of the mountain and reaches into his trousers pocket, pulling out a velvet red box.

"May I have your attention for a second?" Elijah asks as he opens the box, he would move down onto one knee, but he was afraid it would be too cliche for her, instead, he opted to hold the box out for her to see what was inside, she turns around, her eyes falling to the ring sitting inside the box, her eyes meet his.

"Mh, I thought you'd go down on your knee," Alex says causing Elijah to chuckle.

"I thought it would be too cliché for you," Elijah says. "I wanted to do this differently." Alex nods her head.

"I'm waiting," Alex says. "Ask your question." She licks her lips as her smile widens.

"When I bought this, I had no idea what I wanted to say to you, I still don't know, I just knew you're the one that I wanted to see wearing it, you're the one I would follow to the ends of the earth, the one I would love to spend the rest of forever with," Elijah says. "And I'm hoping you would like to spend forever with me as well?"

"Forever is a long time, you do know that?" Alex asks, Elijah couldn't help but chuckle.

"Forever with you sounds absolutely wonderful," Elijah says, Alex reaches for the ring, taking it out the box.

"Well, who am I to say no?" Alex says as she slides the ring onto her finger. "And the ring is also beautiful." Elijah laughs as he steps closer to her, he wraps his arms around her, pulling her into his body.

"Do you realize what you do to me, Alex?" Elijah asks before brushing his lips against hers.
