Chapter 3: A New Angle to the Situation

Hi! Sorry, it's been so long! I have no excuse for not posting it. It's a total slip up on my part! Sorry again! Here's another chapter! 

A tidbit from Chapter 2:

Chat Noir/ Adrien's POV.

She was right. We had to do something about my bodyguard. "The only way I can think of fixing this is calling the police ASAP and then after they have him handled, huffing my way back to fencing as quickly as I can. I'll just have to be careful that I get back before they send for me. They'll want to interrogate the whole household."

"I don't like it, but it's the only way," she agreed. "Alright then. You ready?" I smiled for my answer.

"Tikki, Spots On!"

"Plagg, Claws Out!"

And on with the story! Here's Chapter 3!

Still Chat Noir/ Adrien's POV.

"I'll call them. You go check on him." I said as I dialed the number. She opened the door and walked in, as Roger Cop picked up.

"Chat Noir?! Where are you? We've been searching for you and Ladybug ever since the Lucky Charms fixed everything!"

"Don't worry, we're fine," I answered, "In fact, all of Pris is about to be fine! We caught Hawkmoth!" I heard a sharp intake on the other end. "Sending you our location now. See you there!" I sent him my address and waited.

Gabriel's POV.

After a long time of complete silence, Ladybug entered the room.

"I'm here to inform you that the police are on their way," she said. The police! Well, there goes any hope of them having changed their minds. I knew this from the moment she had pinned me down. "Anything to say?" she asked. Maybe I could turn the tables.

"I hadn't thought you that harsh, Ladybug. Surely you understand the reason I have to use the ultimate power." She laughed dryly, with pain and disappointment laced into her voice.

"You obviously don't get it. Wishing your problems away only to hurt the ones you love even more and to hurt innocent people is not how fate works. It's simply not right." Then she added sadly, "One day I hope you will understand that."

And with that, she left the room. It wasn't till then that I noticed the sirens outside. I was really in for it.

Chat Noir/Adrien's POV.

Ladybug and I met the cops at the door of my house. "Is Hawkmoth the combined efforts of the Agrestes?" Roger Cop asked. I knew that was coming, only it came too soon. What should I say? I couldn't tell him that I was an Agreste. That would surely send him off.

"No. Adrien Agreste has nothing to do with this. I've already looked into that. He has an alibi. I happened to know his number and his girlfriend was with him. They were out and about. You can talk to them later. You might want to get the villain taken care of first. Actually, his father is the one solely behind this. You know. Gabriel Agreste." I looked at her with adoration. She just got me out of a completely terrible situation and put herself into the whole mess in order to help me out. By this time the cops trusted her wholly.

"Understood, Ladybug. You want us to take him downtown?" Roger Cop asked.

"Yes," she said. "We'll have the evidence prepared for the trial. We have cameras on us that videotape everything we do. It'll have his de-transformation on it. I might even be able to get his kwami to help. We'll see. I have to clear that with Master Fu and the kwami. When I get an answer, I'll let you know." Wow. She is so amazing!
