Itachi walked down the stairs, dark eyes lingering on all the bodies that occupied his home. Every door upstairs was locked, thank God, and the party was in full swing. Since summer had started, the constant celebrations became more constant, longer, louder, and brighter.
Itachi and his little brother, Sasuke, were only there for image. Both had moved out long ago, but came back when ever they could because their mother asked them to, and you can't say no to Mikoto. She loved having photos taken of them all together, and she loved when magazines published the pictures with captions like, "A Family who Parties Together, Stays Together" and "Another Family Sized Party from the Uchiha's".
He didn't mind as much as he probably should've, though. The fact he was doing it for his mother made it bearable, even if he was becoming hard of hearing from the constant drone of music that filled the house and was disgusted seeing people grind against eachother.
Sasuke, however, seemed to be the piece of meat that all the lions (girls) wanted, and he sure as hell he minded it. Mikoto constantly kept him under the spotlight during these get-togethers because she could no longer do Itachi that way. After years if trying to hook her eldest son up, she finally let the twenty nine year old decided for himself and moved on to the less cold, twenty four year old child. While Itachi usually hid outside somewhere during the parties, Sasuke was center of attention, with flocks of woman, men, and photographers surrounding him. He took the un-needed attention calmly, though, as any Uchiha would in his situation.
The two locked eyes, Sasuke's narrowing the slightest at how easy Itachi was able to move throughout the mansion without being followed by a flock of creeps.
Itachi's lips curved the slightest, eyes showing the amusement that didn't make it's way on to his face. After a moment, his features relaxed and he continued his descent down stairs, aiming to walk out one of the front door and make his way towards the lake behind the mansion.
His shoes tapped against the tile floors, black dress pants barely brushing the leather of them. His dark red shirt was loose, but tight enough to show his slender, well built form. Just because he wasn't under constant attention didn't mean he didn't attract lingering eyes. He could feel the eyes, hear the whispers, and see the flashes of camera's.
He successfully made it out the front door, immediately turning toward the side of the house. He walked on the pavement, the building next to him humming with the steady beat of music. His dark eyes pinpointed the lake, as well as his usual spot, the farthest away from the large mansion.
His shoes crinkled the green grass, soft sounds coming front the ground with every step he took. He crossed the backyard in no time, stopping to look up at the sky.
Small silver dots filled the sky, spots of light. The moon was waning, casting a soft glow on the dark green grass. It was relaxing, something he could truly enjoy on a night like this.
He lowered himself to the ground, his back pressing against the ground. He crossed his arms behind his head, untucking his shirt in the process. Dark eyes stared into the sky, lingering on the bright bursts of light. He probably laid there for an hour, maybe longer, before he heard the sound of the dock creaking beneath someone's feet. With an annoyed sigh, he sat up on his elbows and turned his head back to see who it was.
Standing on the lakes dock was a girl, her head tilted upwards towards the sky. She held a pair of wedges in her hand, the off white color matching her dress. Her dress was tight around her small bust and got looser around her waist, stopping a little above her knees. It seemed to have a lace top layer. Platinum blonde hair tumbled over her shoulders and down her back, the wavy tresses stopping above her butt. Wisps of hair flew around her from the summer breeze, creating an almost angelic appearance. Most of her face was hidden from view, but he could see she had a semi sharp jawline.
