* So before I begin, I've noticed that my chapters are hecking long and I've decided to make them shorter.  Or, at least, I'll try.  Anyway.  Enjoy*

Sophie hadn't seemed like an attention hog.

In fact, she seemed like quite the opposite.

Not that it mattered.  She was still the most important person in the world to literally everyone.  Yeah, she was pretty, yeah, she was funny, yeah, she was raised by humans.  But WHY did everyone like her so much?

"Who's the new girl?" Maruca asked at lunch, biting into a puff of something cottony and white.  Biana scowled, picking at her food.  "Nobody important," she muttered.  Maruca raised her eyebrows.  "She has brown eyes," she gasped, still staring intensely at Sophie.

"Big deal," Biana said, rolling her own ordinary blue eyes.

But what hurt Biana the most was Keefe.  Somehow, he got involved with Sophie too.  Biana tried not to care when Sophie started hanging out with Dex Dizznee, a rather adorable and shy Level Two, but she was beside herself when she realized that Sophie was hanging out with Keefe.

"Seriously?" she grumbled, watching Keefe parade off for detention, arm hooked around Sophie's.

Biana had never been to detention, but she was seriously considering doing it on purpose just to hang out with Keefe.

She would have to figure out something if she wanted to have a chance with him.  If she wanted a chance with anyone.  Because now that Sophie Foster was here... Biana was becoming invisible again.
