Marinette POV
When we got off the plane, we called our parents and FaceTimed with Alya and Nino to tell them we had landed and were leaving the airport. When we collected our luggage, we hailed a taxi. The driver asked for the destinations, and I said the address to the number of the house me and my roommate would be sharing. Then I turned to Adrien and asked;
"Where will you be staying?"
His mouth was wide open, and a look of surprise filled his eyes.
"Same for me too please."
Wait.
"Adrien?" I asked
" Yeah? "
"Why did you tell him the same address? " I asked him while being very confused.
"Because that's the same address Nathalie gave me. She said I would be sharing a house with a girl and that I would find out who it is when I arrive. I'm just surprised it was you! " he said, sounding enthusiast in the end.
"We're roomates. Oh my gosh we're roomates!" I said. Fully realizing that we were going to the same school as well. " we're going to the same school. We're going to the same college! What? How? "
"Let's talk later. " He said.
We rode in silence, only hearing the slight sound of the radio.
We soon, pulled up to the house, and me and Adrien pulled out all of our luggage from the trunk. Adrien paid the driver, and he soon pulled out of the driveway.
"You didn't have to pay him." I told Adrien as we walked through the front door.
" It's alright. You can pay me back later" he said with a wink.
I blushed again. Hard. We soon had all our luggage in the living area and sat on the couch.
"This is so weird." I said
" I know" replied Adrien " I literally just found out it was you when you said the address, I wonder if anybody knew...."
"It's ok. I'll ask everyone I think would know later" I reassured him.
The living room had a nice blue couch with two white arm chairs, backs to the large window that faced the driveway. The color scheme of the room was navy blue and white. It was a nice spacious room. There was a large flat screen tv, perfect for future movie nights and a white coffee table in the middle. We slowly walked to the kitchen, admiring the modernism of it all. There were white cabinets, black granite countertops, and a large island in the middle. A large oven, and refrigerator were included as well.
"I'll be able to cook many treats in here like what we have in the bakery. Lots of space." I pointed out.
" Mmm....I can taste them already. " Adrien said while looking upwards.
I giggled and he laughed. We slowly made our way down the hall. There were two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. One was a hallway bathroom. The other bathroom had three doors and was quite large. One entrance from the hallway, one from one bedroom, and one from the other. There was a large tub, a stand-up shower in the corner, and a room for the toilet. There were two sinks, and two mirrors. We then parted ways and looked at each of the bedrooms to see which ones we would claim.
I walked through the door on the right, and entered into a dark blue and pastel pink themed room. There were pink pillows, pink lamps, pink chairs, white furnishings, blue bed spread, a vaulted ceiling, and a huge walk-in closet. I immediately fell in love with this room. I threw myself into the large queen bed.
"I CALL THIS ONE!" I yelled loud enough for Adrien to hear.
When I finished admiring the room, I came to look at Adriens.
His also had a large vaulted ceiling. The furniture was all black metal, decor was rough wood, and hunter green. The walls were white except the green accent wall behind the bed. I forgot to mention my room also had a pastel pink accent wall behind the bed. Adrien came out of the closet saying;
"This room is nice. I'll take this one."
"Good because I already claimed the other one." I said with a giggle.
He smiled and then walked over to my choice of a room and said;
" I think that room suits you Mari. Glad we both decided. "
"Yeah." I said in response. "I can't wait to start school. Do you remember when our first day is?" I asked as we started back down the hallway towards the living room.
" I think it's Monday. " Adrien replied from behind me. "Since it's Saturday, we'll have plenty of time to settle in before we start."
We reached the living room and grabbed our bags, then, we headed back to the bedrooms of our choice to start settling in.
The first thing I did was unpack all my clothes. I neatly placed them in the drawers of my dresser, and hung up my coats, dresses, nice blouses, and skirts. I placed all my shoes on the bottom and top shelves, and put all my purses and clutches in the shelves down the middle. I then took out my makeup bag and toiletries bag and put them in the left side drawers of the counter in the bathroom. It was closer to my door so I figured it would work nicely. I then put my curling iron, flat iron, blow dryer, and hair accessories in the space under my sink. When I went back to my room, I pulled out my folder I had placed all my photos of my family and friends in. I then pulled out some frames I gently wrapped in cloth to frame them in. I placed a few on my desk, two on my dresser, and one on my nightstand. My mom would be sending out my fabrics, sewing supplies, and my machine soon. Along with other things like more clothes, and personal items from my room back home. I pulled out my MacBook and placed in on my desk. Then I put my phone on top, and pulled out my Airpods and Ipad. I plugged in my Airpods so I could go on a jog later without them dying on me again. I put my iPad on my desk as well. I took out all of my books that I was reading, and placed them inside one of the nightstands so I could read them. I moved the armchairs in front of another window of the room, to clear some space so then I could make room for my sewing area when my machine and other supplies came. I looked around the room. It started to feel a little more cozy. When I had finished, I changed into black slacks and a red shirt. I left my hair hanging lose around my shoulders so I was much more comfortable. I had put all my suitcases and bags in my closet, and went out into the kitchen to find out what to do about dinner. Since we had just arrived, there were no groceries, so I bought some online to be delivered later tonight. I then walked to Adrien's room and leaned on the doorway.
"Hey what do you want for dinner? Since you paid the taxi, we'll get what you want. I already ordered groceries that will be delivered at 7:30 so we won't starve to death." I said while looking down at my phone.
"Um....how about Chinese and movie night?" He suggested. While walking over to place some shirts in the dresser.
" okay sure. " I said in agreement. "What would you want from this menu then? "I asked as I handed him my phone. He quickly decided on what he would like, as did i. I ordered and it was said to come at 6:30 which was 30 minutes from now. When the Chinese arrived, we sat on the couch and watched Lost. When the groceries came, I put them away and came back to the couch to finish the episode with Adrien. Before I knew it, I had drifted off into sleep. It had been a long, long day.Hey ppl! Imma just make this one big chapter, and do an Adrien POV in chapter 6 of this whole situation. I'm already over 1,200 words and I don't wanna make it so long that it's boring. Thanks for reading!
