Marinette POV
When I woke up, the sun was shining and light flooded my window. I sat up and stretched. Today was the day Alya and Nino would be flying in to visit. I was so excited to show Alya my room, and London. My sewing machine had shipped in yesterday, along with all of my fabrics, designs, and un-finished pieces. I had set up my sewing station in front of my window so I could have lots of light on my work. I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. When I came out, I threw on a white shirt that said "living my best life" and some black I slacks. I rarely wore anything other than slacks while at home. I left my hair down, and grabbed my phone and iPad pro and Apple pencil off my desk, and went to the living room to sketch. When I got into the living room and sat down on the couch to draw, Adrien walked in with a worried look on his face. His hair, slightly disheveled and still in what looked like his pajamas.
"Why the long face sleepy cat?" I asked.
" Well, I was wondering where Alya and Nino are gonna sleep. I'm guessing they'll want to sleep together, but where? They can't sleep on the couch. "
"Maybe they can take my room and I'll bunk on the couch?" I suggested .
"No couches are uncomfortable. You can bunk with me. That is, if you are comfortable with that. Because, I wouldn't mind." He said in a rush as a blush crept into his face. I felt my neck heat up as the suggestion was somewhat uncomfortable for me, but it would be better than sleeping on the hard couch for two nights.
"Alright. It's a plan." I said to break the thick air.
Later, Adrien and I decided to go on a walk together and give ourselves a tour of London. We hadn't really been out and about much so it was nice to see things. We first went to the market and bought some trinkets to send home to family. I bought a box of British tea for my parents, and some British pastries to send to them. I also bought Alya a English flag charm to put on her phone. When we finished, we walked around and viewed the London Bridge, Big Ben, and many other sights. Me and Adrien took selfies at all the places. I decided I would have them printed and have them framed to decorate the house to make it more like home. We would go back to these sights with Nino and Alya tomorrow after they were to settle in. When we finished, we bought some lunch, and sat at a picnic table in a small park. London was very beautiful, and very nice. But it just wasn't like home. I felt a little teary eyed when I thought of home. I missed it. It was kinda hard to be away. While sitting at the table, I hid my face from Adrien, for fear of him seeing my eyes which we somewhat brimming with tears. Even though I did my best, he still seemed to notice.
"Marinette? What's wrong?" He asked, his face swept in concern .
"N-nothing. I just.... I-I..." That's when I started to cry. " I miss home. I mean, it's lovely here, but I miss my parents. "
" oh Mari, it's alright. " He said to comfort me as he pulled my head to His chest to comfort me. "I know how you feel."
I cried there for about 3 minutes until I had gathered myself again.
"Im-im so sorry Adrien. It's just I've never been away from my parents like this before." I said with a sniffle.
" Its alright. I'll always have a shoulder for you to cry on. " he said while massaging my shoulders. I then met his gaze, which already seemed to be upon me, and smiled.
"Thank you." I told him as I kissed his cheek. " your so sweet. "
I then noticed him blushing and started blushing myself.
"Anything." He said quietly.
Later that night, Alya and Nino flew in and we met them at the airport. By the time we arrived home, it was already dark out. When inside, we helped move all their luggage into my room. I had already gotten things for myself set in Adrien's room earlier, so they were ready to move right in. While the guys watched some tv, Alya and I made dinner. We chatted a caught up in the latest things that have happened in Paris without us. She told me how the whole class has split up, and how my parents missed me alot, and how her sisters missed me too. That made me feel like I wanted to cry again.
Later, after dinner, the girls had the bathroom first. I wore some simple pj's. Blue striped shorts, and a white shirt, and Alya wore some orange shorts and a white shirt with the words; "let me sleep" in cursive on it. We then went out separate ways and I climbed into Adrien's bed as he went to use the bathroom. When he came back, I had been sketching a women's dress. He climbed into the bed and we both moved to the outer edges, trying not to make things weird. Throughout the night, I could hear Adrien sleep talking. He seemed to be having a bad dream about his mother, who disappeared from him and his father's life when he was a young boy.
"Mother.... Mother..... MOTHER!" He shouted in his sleep. I needed to wake him. It was 3:00 in the morning but who cares. I couldn't let him be in that dream anymore.
"Adrien? Adrien wake up." I as I leaned over and shook him a bit.
He then shot up straight and looked around abruptly.
"Where is she?! Where is she?!" He said, seeming to ask about his mother. He then realized it was a dream and looked at me. I could see his eyes in the moonlight, wide and frightened. My hand was still on his arm from trying to wake him, and I could feel him trembling.
"Oh Mari." He said as he hugged me tightly and started to sob into my chest. "It was so real. She was right there."
" I'm sorry Adrien. " I said in a soothing tone as I patted him like a baby. After about 20 minutes later, he seemed to have cried himself to sleep on me. I slowly laid him down and tried to fall asleep as well. I then felt arms around my waist, as Adrien pulled me to him, grasping me in a secure, warm hug. I didn't try to resist. He needed someone to hug. My back was to His bare, warm chest and I could feel his heart beat and it was very quick.
Soon, it was morning and I was so tired from the night before. What a night it had been.Hey guys! So this chapter is rly rly long, so I'm going to put Adriens POV in the next chapter! Stay safe! Happy 4th!
