when you're an overthinker,
mere falling means breaking and crashing,
one mistake will give you a ticket to grand humiliation,
"what ifs" are the longest trail of dominoes,
promises will never make you feel secured.
when you're an overthinker,
you'll see mouths filled with sharp opinions,
sarcastic insults hiding behind honest compliments,
thoughts rumbling in mind fighting one another,
all words demand to be spoken,
only to come out in a poetic irony.
