Autumn

"Hey, Autumn!" A voice called, sweet as honey.

I walked on, ignoring it. I knew who it was.

Josh's advice rang in my head. Next time they come for you, ignore them. Don't give them the satisfaction of turning around.

"Hey, Autumn!" The voice called again, this time mocking me. Footsteps sounded across the concrete.

Coming closer, I noted. Döppler effect.

As the footsteps grew louder, and therefore closer, I spun around, blazing with fury. "What do you want?" I growled. "Can't you see I just want to be left alone?"

She laughed, a mean, mocking sound that just enraged me further.

Suddenly, it started.

I gasped and stumbled as a sharp pain shot through my side. A split second later, the pain was everywhere.

A punch to my cheek sent me crying out for help. But there was no one around to help me.

I managed one more anguished plea for help before unconsciousness came crashing down on me. For one, long moment I was aware of muffled shouts and pounding feet. Then the scene was abruptly by a dark, mesmerising black wall. And then...

Nothing.
