The Royal Ball: Part 1

1 year after the first scene(Ayra's mate.)

the preparations for the ball were on full swing. tomorrow i announce to the world the alpha consort of the royal pack and the news of merging our 2 packs. The moonshine pack would join the ruby moon pack and would merge into one. I was lucky to find my true mate asher. and i am proud to announce it to the world.

"Luna, the security has been tightened. all the packs alpha and beta should start arriving by today evening. bane-luck pack are already here. Anything else you would like me to do Luna?" My head guard Jamie mind linked me.

"Thank you Jamie. i have some more work for you to do. If you don't mind can you ask the beta female of bane luck pack to visit me by today? Also i want you to gather just the royal and moonshine pack for a meeting. It's mandatory for all member regardless of age and gender." I said back to him in our mind-link.

"You want to meet Maya bane, Luna?" 

"Yes, Jamie. I helped here find her mate and would like to know how she is."

"That's very kind of you Luna. When should i assemble our pack members?"

"Both our packs Jamie. Could you do it in 10 minutes."

" From tomorrow it would be one pack Luna. I will make the arrangements."

i chuckled to myself at his remark about one pack. We would be one pack by tmw. 

"Why are you chuckling Ayra?" Asher said as his wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheeks.

"Just thinking about our packs. Also Ash, we have a meeting in about 10 minutes in the ground, could you inform the moonshine pack?"

" Our pack ayra. And i will." He said and left the room. i had a stupid smile on my face when i heard the knock.

"Come in" I answered. Maya Bane entered the room. She looked well with a small bump in her belly.

"Maya! I was expecting to meet you today!" i exclaimed to her

"Alpha Luna. It's my pleasure"

" No need for formalities right now Maya. That's for ceremonies and other pack members. You are my friend and the beta female of another pack. Please call me Ayra."

"Alright alp.... Ayra"

"So how have you been Maya?"

"Wonderful. I have the next beta growing in my belly. I also help run the nursery in bane-luck. I could not be happier ayra. Logan takes very good care of me."

"That is wonderful Maya. And by the way congrats! the next male or female beta?" i asked

Maya smiled and said " the next female beta"

"Wow. Any name ideas?"

"We were thinking Ruby Ayra Bane" she said. " If that's OK with you?"

i was surprised they wanted to name their child after me and my pack. all i did was help her find her mate...

"Maya.... I am honored but i did nothing of significance for you. why would you name your child after me?"

"Luna.... I mean Ayra. You are an excellent queen to our people. You helped me find my mate. you gave me a home in this pack. You have done a lot for us. With your permission we would like to name her after you." she smiled at me.

"of course Maya" I said almost speechless.

"now that is out of the way. Are you happy with your mate ayra?" she inquired.
