Amelia POV
I opened my eyes to the light that shone brightly in the room where I was. Once my eyes had adjusted to the light, I looked around me and figured out I was in the hospital. I never liked the hospital. I didn't remember how got to the hospital and also I could feel a hair grazing my hand. I moved my hand and the person shifted. It's was a male and he looked uncomfortable in the position he was.
Who could care enough to seat by my side? I gasped as I remembered the elevator scenario, Dylan had rushed in to help me.
"Dylan, Dylan " I called him and touched his hair. He raised his head and looked at me. He smiled and touched my hand.
"You are awake, should I call the doctor or not? " he asked sounding concerned.
"I'm fine, what happened Dylan? "
"You passed out in the elevator, the security system was breached by an unknown person" he explained and ruffled his hair. " it was all my fault" he lamented.
I grabbed his hand and held it. it wasn't his fault because someone was playing games with me and I couldn't tell him. How would I tell him that his mother was responsible for the elevator lockdown?.
"It ain't your fault Dylan, I'm okay now, "I said with assurance.
"If I had come late, I don't know what would have happened. I can't loose you," he confessed bowing his head in regret.
"Are you comfortable Dylan? you kept groaning on the chair?" I asked him because I could see how uncomfortable he looks.
"I guess I am," he smiled trying to hide it but I didn't bought his lie.
" what time is it? " I asked him because I knew my mother would have been worried that I didn't come home.
"One in the morning " he answered and I gasped. "What wrong? Are you alright? " he asked checking if I was fine or not.
"Oh my God Dylan, why didn't you go home. I kept you here I'm sorry" I apologized. I was felt guilty that he couldn't go home because of me so I continue to apologized over and over again.
"Amy that okay, you are my assistant and I'll never let anything happen to you, "he replied.
So that's all he sees me as, a personal assistant, I thought staying with me met something but he only stayed because I was an assistant.
That's causes my heart to burn.
"Thank you, when will I be discharged. My mother must be worried sick by now" I guessed and wondered how she was doing.
"I'll ask the doctor in the morning, I could bring you mum here,"he suggested but I declined.
"No you don't have to do that, I can always text her," I quickly said because I didn't wanted him to find out about my mum's deafness.
"Thanks once again Dylan for helping me" I switched into the appreciation mood. He smiled and place a kiss on my forehead.
"Hungry? " he asked and I nodded. "Well I got you midnight food"
"Just what I needed" I chuckled. Dylan placed a tray on the bed and placed the food on it.
"Here is chicken soup, it will help with your health," he gave me a spoon and watched me as I eat. I couldn't even hold the spoon properly as it continue to shake anytime it touches the plate. I felt weak and dizzy from the medication.
"Should I feed you cause it looks like you can't handle a spoon " he laughed and grabbed the spoon from my hand. "Aha.. aa" he opened his mouth as if he was feeding a little child and waited for me to do the same.
